Il Borro is located in an area rich in history and tradition. Situated near the ancient route of Via Clodia, one of the main roads of the Etruscan-Roman period, Il Borro's castle stood virtually in the center of medieval Tuscany, a large region nestled between the unprotected boundaries of the Tiber and Arno rivers.
The spectacular countryside views are dominated by picturesque nature, particularly from the point where, near Arezzo, the Arno reverses its course heading first south, then north towards Florence. The whole area is dominated by green hills, with cypress trees, oaks, olive trees and vineyards that blanket the landscape to the foothills of the nearby mountains. Immersed in this oasis of tranquillity, guests can use our driving range, hunt for wild boar and pheasant, visit the castles and abbeys of Valdarno and retrace the footsteps of Leonardo da Vinci.
