Tuscany is an ideal place for a food-centric vacation: from the famous wines produced here to the regional cheeses and organic olive oils that are central to traditional dishes as they have been from generation to generation.
After arriving in Florence, you'll pick up your rental car and make your way to the Villa Casagrande, where you'll enjoy 6 nights in this picture-perfect Tuscan villa. From this beautiful property, you can easily visit Florence for "must see" sites as the Duomo, the Pitti Palace as well as the Uffizi Gallery. You'll also be centrally placed to take day trips all around Tuscany, including Pisa, Sienna, and many other hidden villages.
We've also customized your vacation to include a wide variety of culinary experiences including a Chianti wine tasting in Castello di Meleto - and another wine tasting and tour right at the Villa Casagrande; a pizza making class; and two afternoon classes in traditional Tuscan cuisine also taught at the Villa Casagrande with Chef Paola Boncini. Afterwards, you'll eat and enjoy the fruits of your labor - typical Tuscan and Italian dishes, topped off by sweets and Tuscan cakes. Add an additional night so you can really explore the gastronomic soul of Tuscany.
