1. Valentine’s Day Speed Dating
Traveling solo this Valentine’s Day? Stop into The Barologist for a few rounds of speed-dating! You can meet up to 18 people for four minutes each. There is an informal party before and after where you can grab a drink and mingle with the locals.
2. Edinburgh Chinese New Year Festival
The Year of the Rat celebrations don’t end in January - keep the Chinese New Year’s Celebrations going through February 2! Holyrood Distillery offers fun events each night, such as themed gin and whiskey tastings, limited-edition whiskey specials, giveaways, and more.
3. Underground Vaults Tour
Take a tour of the mysterious world beneath the streets of Edinburgh! Through February, take this eerie tour of the forgotten rooms beneath South Bridge. You’ll see 18th-century wine vaults, fireplaces, arch ceilings, and much more.
Celebrate everything reggaeton at this awesome festival. This party starts on February 22. And travelers celebrating a birthday between February 10-March 5 get in for free!
5. Geology Walk
Get ready to explore the rugged terrain of the Holyrood Park. An expert geologist and a park ranger will lead this guided tour on February 23. You’ll learn how to identify different rock formations that have been sculpted by the elements over years and years.
6. Edinburgh Chamber Notes
Listen to the music of Enescu and Mendelssohn! This violin concert will take place on February 5 at the Queen’s Hall. Head over to the Southside, close to Arthur's Seat and other popular sites to visit.
7. Sci-fi Con
Come to the fifth annual Capital Sci-Fi Con from February 14-16! Over 8,000 fans show up every year to celebrate the best pop culture, sci-fi, television and movies. There will be over 100 vendors selling collectibles and original movie props. Best of all, profits from the event go to charity.
8. Medieval Fashion
February 1-2, learn all about medieval fashion! Learn about the royals of Angus and how their clothing style changed over the years. Explore Edinburgh castle and catch one of four Medival Fashion shows each day.
9. Street Wisdom Walk
Over three hours of walking, you’ll learn to connect with your thoughts and problem solve! The walk begins at 10 AM on February 7, when the group will practice focusing on their surroundings during the walk. Then it’s time for a solo street walk through Edinburgh. The walk ends at 1 PM after the group rejoins to discuss what they’ve accomplished.
10. The Chocolatarium Chocolate Tour
Take an enlightening tour through the Chocolatarium this February. Experienced guides will teach you about the chocolate creation process from start to finish. Make a stop in the tasting room to test over 30 types of chocolate!
