The capital of the Tuscany region, Florence, is brimming with places to be explored. You may find that there are fewer tourists about, as November tends to be a slow month. However, there's still plenty to do! You can watch the Firenze Marathon runners race through Florence. Save money by touring museums on the first Sunday of the month, when state-run museums are free. 1. Sunday at the Museum

On the first Sunday of each month, Italian state-run museums are free! On November 3, stop into any number of museums, including Museo Archeologico, Gli Uffizi, and Galleria dell’Accademia.
