1. Athens Marathon International Film Festival
March 27 - April 5, settle in for an open-air movie screening! At this free event, viewers will sit along the ancient route from Marathon to Athens. Enjoy movies of all lengths and genres under the stars!

2. Up the Hammers Festival
March 13-14, dance all night to this great metal festival! Over eight bands will be performing from the US and around the globe. More bands are still being added!

3. Blackbox Show
March 21-22, visit this show unlike any other! The Black Box Audio Video Show surrounds you with captivating sounds and images. This “pop-up wonderland” is fun for the whole family! Use high-end headphones and 8k TVs to experience the world as you’ve never dreamed possible!
4. World of Dance Convention
Don’t miss this awesome dance competition from March 12-15! There will be 19 superstar choreographers who will be directing classes. There will be over 30 masterclasses and parties!
5. National Archaeological Museum
A great time to visit the National Archaeological Museum is in March, when tickets are half price! It’s one of the biggest archaeology museums in Greece. See the scultures, vases, metalwork, and other antiques from Greek history!
6. Athens ANIMFEST
Come to the 15th annual ANIMFEST from March 19-22. Admission to films is free, and you can watch some of the most creative short animated films from across the world.

7. Fishing and Boating Expo
March 6-8, head to this fun fishing expo to get all your supplies! You can learn about spearfishing, scuba diving, watersports, and sea tourism in Athens. Discover the work of Hellenic boat builders at this impressive event.
8. Ladies of Metal
March 7, join this rockin’ all female-fronted Metal Festival! At least five bands will be performing at this fun annual ceremony. Come to the Charavgi neighborhood for the show at 8 PM.
9. Visit the Erechtheion
Visit the Erechtheion! It was built between 421-406 B.C. as a place for Athenians to worship. It’s one of Athens’ most distinct structures, open daily through March to visitors.
