Where to Find the Best Views in Dubai

Nestled between the Persian Gulf and the desert, Dubai is the most populated of the seven Emirates. Boasting extravagance beyond compare, Dubai has become one of the most-visited cities in the world. With an entire sprawling city beckoning to be photographed, you are spoiled for choice when it comes to great views.

Burj Khalifa

For some of the best views in the city, you’ll want to hit the tallest artificial structure in the world. Standing at an imposing 2,722 feet high, you can find 360-degree views of Dubai from here, but be sure to book your ticket well in advance – this place is incredibly popular and you won’t get in on the same day if you show up hopeful but ticketless.

Dubai Marina Walk

Whether you're walking the promenade next to the water or in one of the hotels surrounding it, the marina is an undeniably beautiful feature of Dubai. The artificial canal runs parallel to the shorelines and was modeled to resemble the Concord Pacific Place developed along Vancouver, Canada’s False Creek. Now referred to as “New Dubai,” it is one of the Emirate’s few places with a large concentration of Westerners.

Alta Badia Bar at Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel

Get a canopy view of the urban jungle from Alta Badia Bar at Jumeirah Emirates Towers. Located in Dubai’s International Financial Center, you’ll get to kick back in this buzzy district and take in the energy of the area while drinking in the city views surrounding you.

The Dubai Fountain

A view you’re definitely not going to want to miss is the world’s largest choreographed fountain system set on the stunning Burj Khalifa Lake. The water, light, and music spectacle is a captivating sight and an excellent opportunity for photos, as it is the world’s tallest performing fountain. If “impressive” is what you’re searching for, you can find it here, starting around 6:00 pm.

Jumeirah Public Beach

One of Dubai’s most popular beaches, you can catch a really gorgeous sunset here. The beach was awarded a Blue Flag certification for adhering to strict international standards and is safe for swimming. The beach park has great facilities for picnics, a desert garden, children’s playground, cafes, barbecue areas, round-the-clock lifeguard services, and sports facilities.

Dubai Miracle Garden

While these views aren’t of the city, they would be a shame to miss! Located in the district of Dubailand, Dubai Miracle Garden was opened on Valentine’s Day in 2013 and boasts a collection of over 45 million flowers. The extravagance of the grounds here have to be seen to be believed!

Skyview Bar at Burj Al Arab

Renowned as the world’s only 7-star hotel complete with its own helipad and private beach, Burj Al Arab also boasts an incredible vantage point of Dubai. If you can’t swing the nightly price tag of US $1,000 - $15,000 for a stay, grab dinner and drinks at Skyview Bar instead so you can fill up on some rich food and million-dollar views!

Treehouse Dubai

Nestled in the Burj Khalifa’s back garden with panoramic views of the city, you can’t get much better than the views from Treehouse, the Taj Hotel’s immensely popular bar. Get there early as people tend to pack in for the ambience, incredible drink deals, and, of course, the spectacular views.

TOMO Lounge

Formerly RED Lounge, TOMO is a trendy Japanese restaurant and bar near the peak of Raddles Dubai. Kick back with a cold drink and some top-notch appetizers as you watch the sun set and the city’s sparkling skyline come to life. From here, you can take in the scope of the city without the crush of the crowds before you head out to find whatever adventure the night holds.
