Cork to Cobh

If you’re staying in Cork, consider a lovely train ride to Cobh! The scenic journey lasts less than 25 minutes - but there’s a reason it’s one of the most popular rail routes in Ireland! You’ll cross the glassy waters of the Belvelly Channel and pass by the green beauty of Fota Wildlife Park. Spend a day at the Cobh Heritage Centre learning about Irish life in the 1800s!

How to get there: Take Irish Rail from Cork (Kerry) station to Cobh station - the trip takes 24 minutes.


Dublin to Belfast

This trip takes slightly over two hours, but time flies when you’re gazing at the beautiful scenery! The first half of the trip winds through towns like Dundalk and Newry. The second half travels along the stunning east coast, giving you plenty of time to soak in the cliffs and sea. When you arrive in Belfast, check out the Titanic Museum!

Dublin to Galway

When you arrive, you can marvel at Galway Cathedral, or visit Galway City Museum to learn more about the city’s rich history.

Killarney to Cork

Pop into Cork for the day! Easily accessible by train, this charming city is known as Ireland’s “Maritime Haven.” This trip takes about an hour and a half, which flies by as you zip through the countryside. Pass through cities like Mallow and Banteer, then discover the excellent sightseeing in Cork. Blarney Castle, Elizabeth Fort, and Fota Wildlife Park are just a few of the great ways to explore this Irish city.

Galway to Limerick

Located on the River Shannon, Limerick is a breath-taking city to visit. An express train takes just two hours to get from Galway to this impressive city. You’ll find the historic Treaty Stone, and 12th-century architecture like St. Mary’s Cathedral.
