Bangkok, Thailand is a great place to travel to this winter if you want to escape the cold! Temperatures average in the ninety-degree range in February, making it an ideal time for outside activities. You can see a boat race, run in a 5k, or go to a wine tasting! Here are ten of the best events to check out this February.
1. King’s Cup Elephant Boat Race and River Festival
Come to the King’s Cup Elephant Boat Race and River Festival to celebrate the spirit of boat racing! From February 28-March 1, head to the Chao Phraya River to walk along the river and cheer on the racers.

2. Hemingway’s Wine Tasting Event
February 4, Hemingways will host a night of wine-tasting! Mingle with locals and travelers alike. Then sample fresh cold cuts and cheeses that complement your wine. The event begins at 6:30 PM and lasts late into the night.
3. TriDash Bangkok
Athletes won’t want to miss out on one of the most anticipated races in the world! TriDash participants will swim, bike, and run their way through the course. There are nine races with different levels of difficulty. Watch the race or join in on February 9.
4. Amazing Thailand Marathon
February 2, watch or participate in the Amazing Thailand Marathon! There are four races to choose from: Marathon, Half-Marathon, 10km, or a Family Fun Run. The route stretches from Rajamangala Stadium to Democracy Monument.
5. Visit Wat Pho’s Reclining Buddha
Reclining Buddha is a must-see statue when visiting Bangkok. This statue is roughly 50 feet tall and 150 feet long! This gold statue is a memorable sight for any traveler. Through February, stop by Wat Pho to get the vacation photo of your dreams.
6. Makha Bucha
February 9, honor the important religious holiday of Makha Bucha. It marks the date nine months after Budda’s enlightenment when his followers gathered to hear a sermon. Holiday observances begin at sunset, when there will be candlelight processions followed by prayers and offerings.
7. Whiskey Live
Come to whiskey live at the lovely Renaissance Hotel to try some of the best whiskeys from around the world. Attend a masterclass and meet visitors from all over the globe. Vendors from dozens of countries will be selling their finest whiskeys from January 31-February 1.
8. Coffee and Tea, Ice Cream and Bakery Show
February 27-March 1, explore a world of food and drink at this incredible show. Vendors will be selling tea, coffee, espresso machines, grinders, and accessories for beverages. For those with a sweet tooth, there will also be ice cream and baked goods. Watch world-class barista competitions, coffee workshops, and ice cream and baked goods seminars.
9. Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair
Explore this incredible Jewelry and Gem Fair in the historic Wang Burapha neighborhood. Learn about the secret skills behind jewelry creation, admire rare gems, and shop through thousands of trinkets. The fair is open to the public from February 28-29.
10. Thai Sikh Run
Go for a run to promote your health! Join in a 5k, 10k, or 21.1k race. February 16, go for a jog through Bangkok with community members and runners from around the world.
