Bangkok is unlike anywhere else in the world. It’s a busy waterside city that’s known for its business gatherings and its nightlife. Bangkok is the City of Angels, a reference to the Grand Palace. There is no shortage of things to see and do, such as celebrating Loy Krathrong by launching paper boats. There are plenty of concerts this November. You can even check out a fashion show or hit up a beer festival. There are so many possibilities this November - here are 10 of them.
1. Celebrate Loy Krathong
Loy Krathong is celebrated by Thais in November. Small paper boats holding candles are sailed into local lakes and rivers. The celebration symbolizes letting go of grudges. There are many celebrations, but one of the biggest is at Asiatique. Asiatique has Thailand’s largest Ferris Wheel and all the food and nightlife you can imagine.
2. India Groovefest
Check out this International Dance Championship. Hundreds of people from around the country show off their dancing skills! Don’t miss this incredible show on November 2.
3. VERY Festival 2019
If you love alt-rock and indie music, this should be very high on your itinerary. Artists are still being announced. November 16-17, join in the fun.
4. Maho Rasop Festival 2019
This festival features over 25 musicians playing metal, rock, indie rock, and more. The festival is from November 16-17. Be sure to buy tickets in advance, as this is a popular event.
5. Thailand International Guitar Festival
November 8-11, join the 19th Thailand International Guitar Festival. There will be concerts, masterclasses, and even an international guitar competition! Don’t miss out on this exciting music festival.
6. Bangkok Marathon
The race is run by both tourists and locals. This is the largest race in Thailand, and thousands attend every year! November 17, cheer on the runners or join in and race through Dubai. You can run a full, half, or mini-marathon.
7. Thailand Fashion Week
November 29, attend Bangkok’s fashion show. There will be clothing from 12 Asian and international designers on the runway. Spend an afternoon discovering the best new fashion from around the world.
8. Thailand Brew Fest
Celebrate local and international beers from all over the world! The Thailand Brew Fest, taking place November 24-25, lets attendees try over 150 types of beer. DJs will be playing hit music. Taste traditional Bangkokian food or American BBQ at one of 15 food vendors.
9. Salsa Bangkok Fest
October 31-November 3, go salsa dancing. The hottest DJs from around the world will be playing salsa music. International dance instructors attend the festival, and you can enjoy nightly dance parties. Venue to be announced.
