London, England is a cheery place in November. As the weather grows chilly, the city warms up with the Lumiere Festival, a celebration of art and lights. Attend a whiskey tasting, or celebrate Bonfire night. Here are 10 delightful ways to explore London this November.
1. Lumiere Festival
This amazing festival from November 14-17 will light up the night! Twice a year this festival lights up the city with art installations that glow. You’ll see iconic buildings lit up with hundreds of lights. Over 240,000 people attend the festival each year, so don’t miss out!
2. London to Brighton Veteran Car Run 2019
Cars aren’t the first thing you think of when you think about London. But with this festival, you can witness London’s history through its 20th-century automobiles. On November 3, this motor rally sets off from Brighton to London, with drivers dressed in costume!

3. Eat & Drink Festival
From November 20-24, this incredible festival is one of the holiday season’s biggest attractions. Taste test flavors from professional and celebrity chefs, or shop through cookbooks and cooking accessories. Vendors have English foods to fit every visitor’s taste.
4. International Drink Expo
November 19-20, sip the night away with cocktails. Try a large selection of vodkas, rums, and whiskeys from 200 vendors. Seminars and demos take place as well.
5. We’re All Bats Event
This quirky event program incorporates sound and art to create an educational experience. There are interactive experiences, such as a concert to listen to with your eyes closed. You can get an audio massage or listen in on a workshop about water sounds. Running until November 3, there is so much to explore in the We’re All Bats event!
6. Bonfire Night
This annual event always lights up the London skies with fireworks and popular music! Since 1605, on November 2-5, traditional English food and drink is served to celebrate this holiday. Events take place in restuarants and stores all over England, including both North and South London.
7. EFG London Jazz Festival
Go dancing while you visit London on November 15-24! This highly anticipated festival features talent from London and all over the world. The music scene is spread out between many different venues around London. For example, you can check out a jazz music quartets at London Southbank Centre.
8. Tutankhamun: Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh
Beginning November 2, catch sight of Tutankhamun before the Gold Pharaoh returns to Egypt forever! This exhibit features the only intact ancient Pharaoh. It includes 150 artifacts from the Pharaoh’s life as Egyptian royalty. Don’t miss this exquisite opening!
9. Country Living Magazine Christmas Fair
This colossal event features over four hundred vendors. These local sellers will have handmade toys, limited edition decorations, and seasonal food like smoked salmon and mulled wine. Find this Christmas fair in the Business Design Centre in the heart of London from November 13-17..
10. St. Andrew’s Day
St. Andrew’s Day is a celebration of the patron saint of Scotland. That means haggis and whiskey to celebrate! Join Londoners in celebrating this popular holiday! St. Andrew's Day specials take place at pubs and restaurants all over London on November 30.
