Cape Town is filled with music, food, and fun this February! The South African city has plenty to do - from wine tours to concerts to art fairs, there's no shortage of thrilling events. Here are the ten best activities that Cape Town has to offer this February.
1. Constantia SA
Discover the beauty of Buitenverwachting Wine Estate, where wine-lovers will gather on February 23. There are over 200 different wines to sample, as well as local gourmet food. In the afternoon, there will be live music.
2. Table Mountain Cableway
Capture some brag-worthy vacation photos as you ride the Cableway up and down Table Mountain! The ride takes less than five minutes, but the cable car’s floor rotates so that visitors get a complete view of Cape Town. Head to Tafelberg Road for this popular ride.
3. Lighthouse Festival
Hear the sounds of international electronic music at the Lighthouse Festival! This annual concert lasts from February 28-March 1. There will be eight DJs and musicians from around the world, and a fun afterparty too!
4. Cape Town Art Fair
February 14-16, admire some of Cape Town’s finest art! There will be panel discussions by art experts. The fair highlights great contemporary works that represent the diverse beauty of South Africa.
5. Ultra South Africa
Come to the Ostrich Ranch for this awesome music festival! Top DJs from around the world will be playing here on February 28.
6. SA Cocktail Fest
February 29 - March 7, try a cocktail at this weeklong festival. There will be games, food, and craft cocktails. Don’t miss the Grand Opening Street Party, where DJs will be spinning party music. Then head to a bar-hopping tour or take a cocktail masterclass!
7. Capetown 10s
Cape Town is famous for this amazing yearly event. Capetown 10s brings the community together for sports like rugby, soccer, dodgeball, and field hockey. And you can join in a race through Cape Town that passes by some of the town’s best sights.
8. Cape Town Folk ‘n Acoustic Music Festival
February 17, groove to the sounds of folk and acoustic music! Sixteen of South Africa’s best folk singers will be performing at the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden. Experience this beautiful cultural story-telling and singing event.
9. Full-Day South African Wine Tour
