1. Souvenir Expo Greece
Come explore this Greek folk art and tourism show. Vendors will be selling everything from souvenirs to fine art! This expo is a great place to find handmade craft items and clothing.
2. Greek Jewelry Show
If you’re looking for a beautiful memento of your journey through Athens, stop into the Greek Jewelry Show. The show takes place January 10-13. Crafters can buy beads, tools, and gems. Vendors sell all types of modern and antique jewelry, as well as glass and crystal sculptures.
3. Epiphany 2020
January 6, celebrate the end of the winter holidays with this incredible Greek tradition. For this ceremony, a priest throws a cross into the freezing cold waters along the Athens shoreline. A group will dive in to search for the cross, blessing the waters. That person gets a prize and a special blessing.

4. Do or Die Fest
This is a great concert for those who love hard rock music! For this year’s Do or Die Fest, the most hardcore music from Athens and all over the world. Five bands will be performing at An Club.

Through January 12, watch A Christmas Carol live at the National Theatre of Greece. This show is a hit throughout the holiday season! The show is performed in Greek, but subtitles available for some performances.
6. New Life Wedding and Baby Expo
This popular annual event has been a hit since 1996. This is a great event for just-married couples and new parents. Learn all about wedding services and honeymoon planning, or shop through baby apparel on January 31.
7. Oedipus Rex
Experience Oedipus Rex during your next trip to Athens for a truly memorable evening. This famous play was written by Sophocles in the 5th century BC. The play will be performed with English and French subtitles on January 2.
8. Athens Cannabis Expo
Come to the first annual Athens Cannabis Expo! This fun event will feature lectures by experts in the field from January 10-12. The expo aims to educate the public about the benefits of cannabis.
