By Dana Perkiss

While travel has become a bit more challenging due to Covid-19, it is not impossible. There are guidelines in place that are aimed at getting you to your destination safely and securely, and as long as you know them beforehand, you'll be fully prepared for your trip to go seamlessly.

For your consideration, here are essential travel guidelines to help make your next trip to Iceland as safe and easy as possible:

Iceland currently has the following travel requirements in place:

  • As of February 25, 2022, Iceland has ended all of its COVID-19 border restrictions. All travelers are welcome to travel to Iceland, regardless of vaccination status.
  • There are no pre-registration or Passenger Locator Forms to fill out for Iceland travel.

It is recommended to not travel if:

  • You have been exposed to COVID-19, unless you are fully vaccinated or have recovered from COVID-19 within the last 90 days.
  • You are sick or contagious.
  • You have tested positive for COVID-19 and your isolation period isn't over.
  • You are still waiting for COVID-19 test results.

Please be sure to check the Iceland COVID Travel Advisory for the latest updates on COVID-19 in Iceland.
