This February, escape the snow and ice and head to Mexico, where it's a sunny year-round! There is so much to do - start with a visit to some ancient ruins. Then head to a resort or club to relax poolside! There are pool parties for Valentines Day and the Super Bowl, as well as so much to do throughout the month.
1. Beads and Bling
Want to let loose and collect some Mardi Gras beads? Stop by Temptation Cancun on February 25 for the Beads and Bling party! Wear purple, yellow, or green. Then dance poolside to DJs spinning hit music and join in the beach balloon fight!
2. Visit Scenic Tower Cancun
Visit Torre Escenica to see the best views of Cancun and the Carribean ocean. The tower rotates in a circle for an amazing panoramic view of Cancun. You can also hear the history of Cancun during your trip. Through February, the tower operates 9 AM - 9 PM.
3. Love Fest
Love is in the air this February 14 at Temptations Cancun. Join in the Love Fest, a day-long party for couples and singles. Enter the Perfect Couple Contest, or if you’re single, play Love Roulette! Wear red or white to this awesome Valentine’s Day party.
4. Visit the Maya Museum and the San Miguelito Ruins
Through February, visit Museo Maya Cancun and the San Miguelito Ruins. The ruins cover a large swath of the Hotel Zone. Wander through the ruins and discover skeletons, jade relics and so much more!
5. Super Temptastic Sunday
February 2, join in this annual tailgate party! Guests are encouraged to dress up as football players, referees, or cheerleaders. Watch the Super Bowl and participate in a cheer contest!
6. El Meco Ruins
In February, check out El Meco, some lesser-known ruins in Downtown Cancun. You can see a 41-foot tall pyramid and other ancient ruins.
7. See the Ruins of Tulum
This seaside fortress is a sight to behold. Visit the Ruins of Tulum through February to witness these incredible pyramids for yourself.
Head to a Mexican fiesta on the water in February! Xoximilco has authentic Mexican food and music, so it’s a fun way to learn about the culture. The party has games, live music, and of course, tequila!
9. Lucha Libre Show
One cultural experience you won’t want to miss is a Lucha Libre fight. These theatrical fights between a hero and a villain blend wrestling and acrobatics stunts. Tickets are cheap and fights are held at Arena Cancun on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
