Bring the whole family to this fun child apparel fair! Pick up stylish outfits, toys, and accessories. Thousands of people attend this fashion fair, held at Fortezza da Basso, every year!
Join this awesome party from December 31 to 6 AM on January 1! This Gatsby-themed party offers a glamorous dance floor. You’ll be transported back to an elegant 1920s scene until midnight, when you’ll ring in 2020!
5. Puccini's La Bohème
January 3 and 5, discover the magic of Florence’s opera at La Bohème. The classic love tale will be performed at Teatro del Maggio. Located near Basilica of Santa Maria Novella and other popular sites, it’s perfect for a romantic night out.
6. Florence Kizomba Meeting
January 24-27, get to know Kizomba and Bachata dancers from all over the world! This popular festival offers classes for four skill levels, from beginner to professional.
7. Adoration of the Magi
Every January 6, Florence celebrates the Three Wise Men with a parade. Hundreds of people gather and dress in costume to follow the Wise Men to Cavalcade in Piazza del Duomo. Don’t miss this amazing cultural event!
8. Alfano: Risurrezione
Take in this four-act opera show at Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. The show runs from January 17-23.
9. Florence Swing Camp
January 23-26, join dozens of dancers at this awesome Swing Camp. Visitors can learn a jazz dancing routine, meet dancers from around the world, and attend a party each night of the event.
10. Free Florence Walking Tour
Gather on January 8 for this free walking tour of Florence. The tour begins at Santa Maria Novella Church, winding through the cobble-stone streets of Italy. You’ll see Michelangelo’s house and the Cathedral of Florence. The tour takes several hours - perfect for an afternoon of sightseeing.
