Our Lord in the Attic Museum
This unique place is an old 17-century canal house that has a secret Catholic church hidden in its attic. The building was a sanctuary during a time when practicing Catholicism publicly was forbidden, and the organ in the church built in 1794 is still played occasionally today. Visitors can wander the narrow corridors and stairs that lead to historically decorated living quarters, kitchens, and bedsteads, ending at a complete church in the attic. This museum is an absolute treasure trove of the city’s history.
