The mesmorizing Kuang Si Waterfalls

With only 6 millions Laotians inhabiting this ecological paradise, travelers are blessed with not-so-crowded, less populated regions. For centuries, it was rumored that a magical waterfall existed near the ancient capital of Luang Prabang in Northern Laos. Now, it is the hottest new eco-tourism adventure! It is called Kuang Si and accessible by hiking through the forest. Like a scene from an Indiana Jones movie, the Kubla Khan heavenly sights of the crystal clear silk-like water seems an apparition to the beholder. You will not believe how incredible the Kuang Si waterfalls are until you visit.

Patuxai, a Symbol of Independence

The history of Laos from it's rule under the French colonists to a modern day socialist Marxist government is a fascinating ideological and political story. What better way to learn about Laos' history than to visit the Gate of Triumph known as Patuxai, which resembles the Arc de Triomphe in Paris? The Patuxai was erected to honor Laotian patriots who fought in the struggle for independence from France. Look up at the temple tower and you will notice five towers which also represent the five Buddhist principles of amiability, flexibility, honesty, honor, and prosperity.

Visit Loatian Caves

Go underground and witness astonishing hidden tunnels

Similar to the Củ Chi tunnels near Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, the Viengxay caves in Houaphanh Province of North-Eastern Laos are an extensive network of caves in limestone mountains! Take a a one day tour to witness where revolutionaries hid during the struggle for independence. You don't need to be a geologist to marvel at this natural phenomenon!

Pha That Luang, Vientiane

Pha That Luang, known as the 'Great Stupa' is a gold-covered large Buddhist stupa in the centre of the city of Vientiane. The largest city in Laos, yet with less than 1 million people, Vietiane is easily traveled and is much more relaxed and leisurely than other capital cities of Asian countries. You will see the Stupa symbol as you travel through Laos and feel the enriched sense of Buddhist religion pervading every aspect of this rich and beautiful Lao culture.
