My partner and I recently took a trip to Thailand through Great Value Vacations, and it exceeded our expectations! We chose a package with more tours, and to our surprise, every tour was completely private—just us, our personal driver, and an incredible guide, Pepsi.
Pepsi made our trip unforgettable. Not only was he knowledgeable and personable, but he also had a college degree in English, making communication effortless. He shared expert tips, took us to hidden gems, and even arranged bonus visits to places like a wholesale flower and vegetable market. We always had a direct line to him via WhatsApp, which made everything seamless.
Every tour went smoothly except for the Phi Phi Island excursion booked through Wow Andaman, whose guide (Don) was untrustworthy. I wouldn’t recommend that provider.
As for flights, Air India was okay, but I wouldn’t fly with them again. One small hiccup was that our local travel agency booked a Thai Airways flight but didn’t provide Great Value Vacations with our ticket details. Fortunately, Pepsi quickly resolved this for us. Our personal tour guide in Phuket, Alex, was similarly stellar (though we had significantly fewer interactions with him vs Pepsi). Alex was able to recommend an excursion to an elephant sanctuary that was the highlight of the entire trip and his travel agency ICS was able to book that swiftly for us and arrange for payment.
Overall, Great Value Vacations delivered a stress-free, personalized experience. If you’re considering a trip, I highly recommend them!
