The trip went really well. We did a variety of tours, guides were spectacular, lodges and hotels were clean and comfortable. Nobody was late picking us up for the transportation shuttles or our day trips. I have never experienced such promptness. Also, they had our names on their list and there wasn't any confusion. The one time they were going to be late, they sent a note to the hotel the night before to say they were going to be 15 minutes late. The activities were all very worthwhile and so interesting.
The only issue that was frustrating was the itinerary before we left. There were no details on the page. It just gave pick up times with no time duration of travel time, how long activities would last if we needed to book other adventures, or who/where we were going to be picked up. I contacted them once and what they sent was still very vague. I waited to contact again them till right before incase a final updated itinerary was sent, but it never changed. However, when I called, the person who answered was very helpful. She researched answers and emailed me a thorough itinerary with all the details that made the trip flow. It would have been so nice to have the that email itinerary initially instead of having to keep asking all the questions. Swiss Travel was our contact in Costa Rica and were quick to answer questions through What's App.
I would book another trip with Great Value, but would insist on a more thorough itinerary.
