Day 1. Welcome to Paris!
Say "bonjour" to Paris! Arrive at Charles de Gaulle airport, then enjoy a transfer to your accommodation. Get into the festive spirit by strolling down the Champs-Elysees with its rows of twinkling trees covered in 150,000 lights.
You may want to activate your 2-day Paris Pass in order to see the city's highlights. In the heart of St-Germain-des-Prés, discover the magic of Christmas with a special winter gourmet food tour. Your guide will lead you to some wonderful specialist gourmet shops - patisseries, chocolate makers and boulangeries which produce superb quality delicacies for you to taste. Learn about the traditional French "13 desserts" and sample delicious nougat, spiced gingerbread and candied fruits. Experience the warm and cozy Christmas atmosphere in a Parisian style tea room, while enjoying a hot drink.
Your guide will tell you about the history of a French traditional Christmas and the “sapin de Noël” (Christmas tree). Feel the spirit of the festive season, tasting a variety of delicious regional specialties.
Day 3. Paris
In the morning, learn how to make traditional French Christmas dishes with a hands-on cooking class! After the class, sit down and enjoy the meal you've prepared.
Continue using your Paris Pass. Art lovers will go nuts over the collections at the Louvre and Musee d'Orsay, while wine aficionados will want to take advantage of the wine tasting.
In the evening, lace up some skates and glide around the highest ice rink in Paris on the first level of the Eiffel Tower, 200 feet above ground. Enjoy panoramic views of the city from this incredible vantage point!
Traditional French Festive Cooking Class with Market Visit
Spend a morning learning how to cook a delicious French Christmas meal under the expert guidance of a highly respected chef, Dominique. Before the cooking begins, accompany the chef to an outdoor market and help choose the fresh products that will be used in that day's recipes. Using the seasonal ingredients from the market, Chef Dominique will show you how to make a festive and creative three-course meal that represents France's rich culinary heritage.
The meal is prepared and cooked in Chef Dominique's own kitchen in a group of up to eight people for a real hands-on practical cooking class. No previous cooking skills are necessary, as you will be coached through every step. At the end of the class, sit down to enjoy your fabulous food and wine. You'll receive the recipes, allowing you to recreate this impressive meal for your own Christmas table.
Day 4. Depart France
Your Parisian Christmas getaway ends today. At the appropriate time, transfer to Charles de Gaulle airport for your flight home.
