Day 1. Welcome to Guatemala City!
Upon arrival, you will collect your luggage and meet a representative at the airport to transfer you to your hotel. After check-in, the rest of the day is yours to spend at leisure.Â

Casa Santo Domingo is located just a 10-minute walk from the center of Antigua. Guest rooms are equipped with free WiFi, television, and minibar. Each room features art by a local artist. There is a bar and restaurant, as well as a beautiful garden. The hotel is also a spa and museum, offering a unique experience to all guests.Â
Day 2. Antigua
After breakfast, your guide will meet you at the lobby of your hotel and show you around this beautiful town. You'll see the main heritage buildings around Antigua such as The Cathedral, San Francisco and La Merced. The afternoon is yours to explore as you please.Â

Day 3. Antigua - Lake Atitlan
Your guide will meet you in the lobby of your hotel and take you to the coffee hacienda just a few minutes away from Antigua. You will learn everything about the coffee harvesting process from handpicking the beans to brewing the perfect cup.

Atitlan Hotel is situated among lush botanical gardens and located only 10 minutes from the main town of Panajachel. The property was once owned by a family-run coffee plantation and is now one of the most charming boutique hotels in Guatemala. Enjoy the hand-carved wood furnishings and ornate ceramic tiling that pay homage to the 18th-century plantation. Take a dip in the pool as you soak up the views of  Atitlán, Toliman and San Pedro volcanoes in the distance.Â

Day 4. Lake Atitlan
After breakfast, your guide will take you on a private boat to visit San Juan la Laguna and Santiago Atitlan, two very special and different towns around the Lake. Santiago is home to Maximon, a venerated pagan saint who smokes tobacco and drinks moonshine. He resides in a different house each year. San Juan la Laguna is a hidden gem, home to several textile coops and art galleries.

Day 5. Lake Atitlan - Guatemala City
After breakfast, you will head to Chichicastenango. Walk around the market (market runs on Thursdays and Sundays only) and visit Santo Tomas church. In this 400-year-old church, you will witness syncretism - a term which means a mix of two religions. After the tour, you will hike to Pascual Abaj, a moderate hike to get to this Mayan Shrine where worshipers gathered regularly to perform ceremonies.Â

An early transfer will take you to the airport for your flight to Petén. On arrival, a representative of Maya Trails will transfer you to your hotel for breakfast and time at leisure. Later, a guide will take you to Yaxha Archaeological Site for a beautiful sunset tour. After the sunset, your guide will bring you back to the hotel.

Day 7. Flores - Guatemala City
After breakfast, your tour guide will meet you in the lobby of your hotel and transfer you to Tikal National Park. Your guide will show you the layout of the temples, architecture, history, some discuss some theories of why they disappeared. If you are lucky, a few monkeys, parrots, macaws and toucans will be on-site! After the tour, enjoy lunch at a restaurant in the middle of the jungle.
Then, a private transfer will take you to the airport for your local flight back to Guatemala City. A Maya Trails representative will meet you at Guatemala City Airport for your transfer to your hotel.
