Day 2. London
Hop off at Buckingham Palace and view the iconic Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace.
Today's a great day to use your included Westminster Abbey and Cocoa-cola London Eye admissions!
Westminster Abbey
An architectural masterpiece of the 13th to 16th centuries, Westminster Abbey is as iconic to London as Big Ben. Home to the shrine of St Edward the Confessor, tombs of kings and queens, and countless memorials, it has also been the setting for every Coronation since 1066 and for numerous other royal occasions, including 16 royal weddings.
Today, it is still a church dedicated to regular worship and to the celebration of great events in the life of England. Neither a cathedral nor a parish church, subject only to the Sovereign and not to any archbishop or bishop.
The London Eye Fast Track Admission Ticket (11:00 AM Entrance)
The London Eye is centrally located in the heart of the
capital, gracefully rotating over the River Thames opposite the Houses of
Parliament and Big Ben. At 443 feet, The London Eye is the world's tallest
cantilevered observation wheel; a feat of design and engineering, it has become
the modern symbol representing the capital and a global icon. The experience showcases
breathtaking 360-degree views of the capital and its famous landmarks and has
been the number one visitor experience in the city for the past decade. The
gradual rotation in one of the 32 high-tech glass capsules takes approximately
30 minutes and gives you an ever-changing perspective of London. Within each
capsule, interactive guides allow you to explore the capital's iconic landmarks
in several languages. An experience on The London Eye will lift you high enough
to see up to 25 miles on a clear day and keep you close enough to see the
spectacular details of the city unfolding beneath you. Your experience includes
entry to the London Eye 4D Experience – a four-minute show that is ideal for
the beginning or end of your visit, where you’ll see London come to life
through unique perspectives and multi-sensory special effects, including wind,
bubbles and scent. Fast Track tickets
for The London Eye allow you to skip the majority of the queue.
Day 3. London - England Bed & Breakfast
Enjoy a final breakfast in London, then head to your first chosen accommodation! Consider heading westward towards Bath to explore the original Roman bath houses for which it is named. You may want to make a pit stop at the famous Windsor Castle along the way.
About 45 miles further west of Bath you'll find prehistoric Stonehenge, filled mysteries and secrets left undiscovered to this day. Take advantage of the flexibility and freedom of this package to explore the country at your own pace and with your own interests in mind.
Check-in - England B&Bs and Small Hotels
These England B&Bs and
Small Hotels give you the chance to stay in some of the most charming
independently owned B&B’s and quintessentially English small hotels and
inns in some of the most picturesque locations in England– so you feel like
you’re staying in a special home away from home. The collection ranges from
working farms and former vicarages to Victorian town houses and country homes,
and each has been chosen for its character, charm and individuality - and of
course for the warm welcome you are sure to receive. Each boasts comfortable
accommodations and en-suite facilities, as well as an excellent, traditional
breakfast – guaranteed to provide a truly memorable stay. Your voucher entitles
you to your choice of Category 1 B&B or hotel. The B&Bs are mostly
private homes, which provide breakfast but limited additional services; the
small hotels typically provide access to additional food and bar services.
Upon purchase of your
B&B vouchers, please visit the following website to determine what your
accommodation options are in the area(s) you’ll be visiting, and where you
would like to stay: www.circlehotels.co.uk. It
is highly recommended that you request your accommodations as far in advance as
possible (a minimum 45 days in advance), since the properties are small and
availability is limited, especially in high season. Requests MUST be placed
through the reservations office of The Circle, by email. If you book directly
through the B&B or hotel, your voucher will not be honored, and you will be
responsible for paying for your reservation directly to the B&B/Hotel. Is
this were to happen, you will not be eligible for a refund of any unused
vouchers. Please note: these vouchers can be redeemed for B&Bs offered by
The Circle in Scotland and Wales, as well.
When planning your itinerary,
remember that B&Bs are generally not located in major city centers so you
will want to expand your search to outside of the city proper. Please be
advised that due to the size of the properties, if you are travelling in a
group or with another reservation, The Circle might not be able to accommodate
you at the same property and may require members of your group to stay in
multiple properties or be flexible to an alternative property, which could
accommodate your group.
Your voucher entitles you to
properties at the Category 1 level. If you would like to upgrade to any of the
higher-level B&B’s or hotels, you can do so at an additional supplement as
follows, payable directly to The Circle at the time of confirmation:
Supplements for travel January – December 2024:
Voucher Plus B&B or Category 2 hotel - additional £10 per person/per night (based on double occupancy)
