Day 1. Welcome to Milan, Italy!
Arrive in Milan, pick up your rental car and drive approximately 30 minutes to your accommodation near Lake Como. Once you're settled in, you can drive to the nearby town of Como. Grab a bite to eat and see the Como Cathedral, the last Gothic cathedral to be built in Italy.

Day 2. Lake Como

Day 3. Lake Como
Consider visiting Varenna today to see its 11th-century castle that dominates the skyline. Explore the villas and gardens that make up this Lake Como treasure, stroll the romantic promenade or simply relax and revel in the views below with a freshly brewed cappuccino in hand.
Day 4. Lake Como - Nice, France
Leave Lake Como today for the approximately 5-hour train to Nice. Feel your eyes widen as you pass rolling countryside, traditional villages, and postcard-worthy natural beauty.
Upon arrival in Nice, check into your hotel then explore this vibrant area before calling it a day!

Day 5. Nice
Start your day with a stroll along the Promenade des Anglais or La Prom for short. This wide, elegant boulevard is lined the 19th-century hotels like Le Negresco that were the height of chic in their time.Â
You can then head to the residential Cimiez neighborhood to visit Musee Matisse, a museum dedicated to the French Impressionist painter Henri Matisse, who lived and worked in Nice until 1954.
Day 6. Nice
Explore Vieux Nice, the city's vibrant old town! Stroll through the narrow cobbled lanes and past pretty pastel houses, and watch the daily life unfold before your eyes. Try typical Nicoise snacks like socca, a chickpea crepe, or pissaladiere, a kind of French pizza topped with caramelized onions and anchovies.Â
Day 7. Depart France
Your Italian-French adventure ends today. At the appropriate time, head to Nice airport for your flight home.
