Have lunch in a local restaurant, then begin a city tour. You’ll head to the Constitution Square, the center of the city. You’ll see many of Greek’s most famous landmarks, like the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion, and the Partheon.

We begin on Athinas Street in central Athens, a crowded part of town famous for its housewares stores. Here we’ll explore the basics of the Greek kitchen and look at some of the unique tools employed. We’ll continue our stroll around the market by visiting several bakeries, and a street dedicated entirely to cheese and spices. Our tour will turn into the Varvakios Central Market. We’ll pass through the graphic meat and fish markets where we can discuss the various uses of animals in Greek food. We may also walk through one of the market restaurants to catch a glimpse of local fare in its least manicured state. Ending, enter the Plaka area and Flea market in Monastiraki, a walk that will allow you to explore the narrow picturesque streets and the old city.

Day 4. Santorini

First stop will be Profitis Ilias mountain, the highest peak of the island (1,860 feet), located between Pyrgos and Kamari. The Mountain's name is Profitis Ilias (Prophet Elijah), coming from the Monastery with the same name located at the top. From this vantage point, you will enjoy a striking view of the entire island, from the patchwork agricultural plains to the hilltop village of Oia.
Next stop is Red Beach, where you will have some free time for photos. Red Beach is well known for the unique color of the sand and the hill behind it, with soaring red lava cliffs which drop right to the sandy shore and into the clear blue sea. You will then continue Perivolos black sand beach, one of the longest beaches in the Cyclades, and considered the best and trendiest beach in Santorini.
Proceed to a walking Tour in Megalochori, one of the most beautiful traditional villages of the island, where typical traditional cycladic houses, neoclassic buildings and small houses dug in the volcanic rock blend together in harmony. We find here also the typical small white churches with blue domes.
Your next destination is Koutsoyannopoulos Winery. Being the only one of its kind in Greece, the Koutsoyannopoulos Wine Museum occupies a natural cave. It is eight meters (26 feet) below ground, 300 meters (985 feet) long and has a labyrinth-like shape. The Koutsoyannopoulos Wine Museum presents the history of wine and the life of vine-growers in Santorini since the 1600s. You will have the opportunity to see representations of the history of wine and to taste four of the best wines that the winery produces today, in a specially designed wine-tasting area.
Last but not least is Oia village, known for breathtaking sunsets. Oia is one of the most photographed places in Greece. The beauty of Oia is unsurpassed, and it has inspired artists, poets and every visitor of the island. Here you’ll see small white cave houses dug into the volcanic rock, interspersed by splashes of rich ochre, deep fuchsia, cobalt blue, oyster pink and earthy red.
Day 5. Santorini
Enjoy an authentic Santorini cooking class! The class lasts around three hours. You’ll learn how to prepare six Santorinian recipes, and sip locally-sourced wine throughout the class! You’ll receive a cooking apron and a copy of the recipes you prepared as a gift souvenirs.
The rest of the day is yours to continue exploring this stunning island! Roam the streets and find bars to continue your wine-tasting on your own. Or head to a black sandy beach and soak in the sun’s rays!
Santorini Cooking Class (small group)
This cooking class looks to further promote the exquisite flavors of Greek cuisine, by presenting the unique island of Santorini, as well as, by the presenting the unique Greek culture aspect of Mediterranean cuisine with local traditional products. Day 6. Santorini - Crete
Eat breakfast, then spend your last morning in Santorini! You’ll take a ferry from Santorini to your next destination: Crete!
Spend the remainder of your day relaxing in Crete. There is much to see and do here! You can visit Vai Beach, home to the largest palm tree grove in Europe! Learn about the history of the small villages and ancient societies if you decide to visit the Historical Museum of Crete. Or check out Samaria Gorge National Park to do some stunning hiking!

Your tour starts with a visit to the largest and most impressive Minoan Palace, the Palace of Knossos, which was excavated and restored to its former splendor by the British archaeologist Sir Arthur Evans. Day 8. Crete

This is wine country and these vineyards have been producing wine for many centuries. Here we have the opportunity for some wine tasting and you will be given an informative tour. Day 9. Crete - Athens
Today, enjoy your last breakfast in Crete! You’ll depart for Heraklion Airport and fly back to Athens. You’ll be transferred to your hotel where you can spend the remainder of your day touring Athens. Have one last greek meal, or watch the sunset before spending a last night in your hotel.
