Day 2. Marathon

More than just a beach with turquoise waters and white sands, this state park features dozens of amenities and experiences. You’ll find tracks for cycling and hiking, diving spots, tubing, and even a roller skating spot. Pack accordingly for the full day!

Day 3. Marathon
A large, 113 mile bridge called the Overseas Highway connects the islands in the Keys to each other. Setting aside some time to drive just about 10-20 miles across the bridge to gaze at the dazzling waters should definitely be on your bucket list. Specifically, you’re encouraged to aim for the Seven Mile Bridge right near Marathon for some historic exploration, time at the beach, and plentiful picture opportunities. You can then finish off your day by tasting the legendary dessert hailing from the islands, Key Lime Pie, at a nearby restaurant.

Day 4. Marathon
The Florida Keys have a large population of sea turtles whose lives are often endangered. Luckily, the Turtle Hospital in Marathon aims to rehab injured sea turtles back to full health before sending them back into the waters. They have an amazing program where you can educate yourself on turtles, the medical procedures they go through, and much more.
Once you’re done, spend the afternoon over at TJ’s Tiki Bar – a sheltered cocktail bar right on the beachfront. Take a dip in the beach before sunset while sipping on your favorite tropical cocktail.

Day 5. Depart Key West
It's time to say goodbye to Marathon! Stuff your souvenirs into your suitcase, return your rental car at the airport, and board your flight home.
