Begin in beautiful Antigua. Here, you'll keep busy by hiking Pacaya Volcano, walking through Antigua on a guided tour, zip lining, mountain biking through the countryside, and visiting local markets! All of that in just the first few days!
Then, continue on to Lake Atitlan. Go kayaking and hiking at Cerro de Oro, and then visit the villages of San Juan la Laguna and Santiago Atitlan! You'll definitely want to keep your camera charged throughout your trip to snap some amazing photos.

Day 1. Welcome to Antigua, Guatemala!
Upon arrival, you'll be transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure as you begin your Guatemala vacation!

Casa Santo Domingo is located just a 10-minute walk from the center of Antigua. Guest rooms are equipped with free WiFi, television, and minibar. Each room features art by a local artist. There is a bar and restaurant, as well as a beautiful garden. The hotel is also a spa and museum, offering a unique experience to all guests.Â
The colonial-style rooms at the Pensativo House Hotel offer free Wi-Fi, a private bedroom, a flat-screen cable TV, and a shower with complimentary toiletries. Pensativo offers gorgeous views of Agua Volcano and Antigua. It is located close to San Francisco Church and the Arco de Santa Catalina; La Aurora International Airport is about 30 miles away. The hotel has 26 rooms, and offers a restaurant, bar, and spa.
Day 2. Antigua
Today, you'll visit and hike Pacaya Volcano!
Return to your hotel after the tour and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Pacaya Volcano Hike with picnic lunch
Your guide will meet you at the lobby of your hotel to transfer you to Pacaya Volcano. A 2.5 hour hike is required to reach the top. Enjoy a delicious lunch as picnic style at the top surrounded by a magnificent view. After the picnic, you will start hiking back to the vehicle for your transfer to Antigua.
Day 3. Antigua
Take a walking tour of Antigua today, followed by zip lining!
Find a delicious-looking restaurant for dinner tonight.
Day 4. Antigua
Experience a biking tour of the beautiful countryside today! Spend your final night here at leisure.
Countryside Mountain Biking Tour
Escape Antigua for the day and tour the countryside by mountain bike. During the tour you will see ruins one earthquake away from extinction. Visit an experimental macadamia farm at a sustainable agriculture project. Explore the villages of Santiago Zamora and San Antonio Aguas Calientes, famous for their textiles and weavings.
Day 5. Antigua - Lake Atitlan
Today you will be transferred to Lake Atitlan! Stop along the way at Chichicastenango to visit the market and Santo Tomas church. Then, you'll hike to Pascual Abaj! Arrive in Lake Atitlan this evening.

Atitlan Hotel is situated among lush botanical gardens and located only 10 minutes from the main town of Panajachel. The property was once owned by a family-run coffee plantation and is now one of the most charming boutique hotels in Guatemala. Enjoy the hand-carved wood furnishings and ornate ceramic tiling that pay homage to the 18th-century plantation. Take a dip in the pool as you soak up the views of  Atitlán, Toliman and San Pedro volcanoes in the distance.Â
Day 6. Lake Atitlan
Today you'll go on a kayaking and hiking adventure to Cerro de Oro!
Kayaking and Hiking at Cerro de Oro
Your guide will meet you at the lobby of your hotel for your boat transfer to the kayak starting point. Paddle for approximate 45 minutes along delightful peninsulas admiring the shore's beautiful gardens. Once at Cerro de Oro's base you will hike passing through the local village. A one-hour climb will get to the top, where you will enjoy spectacular views over the area. After hike, your guide will transfer you back to your hotel.
Day 7. Lake Atitlan
Experience two village tours today to San Juan la Laguna and Santiago Atitlan!Â

Your guide will take you on a private boat to visit San Juan la Laguna and Santiago Atitlan, two very special and different towns around the Lake. Santiago is home to Maximon, a venerated pagan saint who smokes tobacco and drinks moonshine. He resides in a different house each year. San Juan la Laguna is a bit quieter town, less visited and is home to several textile coops and art galleries.
Day 8. Lake Atitlan - Guatemala City - Flores - Peten
Today you'll be transferred to Guatemala City for your flight to Flores. On the way, visit Iximche in the Western Highlands of Guatemala.Â
Arrive in Flores and you'll be transferred to your hotel in Peten. Check in and spend the evening at leisure.

Day 10. Peten - Flores - Guatemala City
Today, you'll enjoy time at Tikal Archaeological Site. Then, you'll be transferred to the Flores airport for your flight to Guatemala City.
Upon arrival, you'll be taken to your hotel. Spend the last evening of your trip at leisure!

Your tour guide will meet you at the lobby of your hotel and transfer you to Tikal National Park. Your guide will show you the layout of the temples, architecture, history, some theories of why the Mayans disappeared and if you are lucky a few monkeys, parrots, macaws and toucans will be on site. After the tour, enjoy lunch at a restaurant in the middle of the jungle.
Day 11. Depart Guatemala
Today you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home.
