Check-in - Sunway Hotel Hanoi
One of the top luxury hotels in the city, Sunway Hotel Hanoi is a boutique hotel in Hanoi's French Quarter. Located very close to the city's major commercial buildings and historical landmarks, you'll be able to easily reach your destinations from the hotel. A short walk will bring you to Hoan Kiem Lake, St. Joseph's Cathedral, Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre, and the Opera House. Relax in one of the "shabby chic" style guestrooms and explore the hotel's exciting amenities, such as the restaurant, bar, and wellness facilities.
Day 2. Hanoi
Today you'll get to embark on a 4 hour long tour showing off the sights of Hanoi. See the Ho Chi Minh President's Mausoleum, the graceful Temple of Literature, the Old Quarter, the Ancient House on Ma May Street, and more.Â
Enjoy the rest of the day to yourself. Go shopping, return to some of the places you only got to visit, or seek out new places to see!
Sightseeing in Hanoi
Explore the modern-day capital of Vietnam, Hanoi, a picturesque city nicknamed the "Paris of the East." Tree-lined boulevards and colonial architecture give the city an air of elegance while narrow lanes and traditonal shop houses make it distinctly Vietnam.
Visit The Temple of Literature, founded in 1070 and dedicated to Confucius. Also the site of Vietnam's first university, the grounds have a peaceful series of walled courtyards and graceful gateways that are perfect examples of traditional Vietnamese architecture. In one courtyard, giant stone tortoises bear stele on their backs, listing the accomplishments of graduating scholars.
Then stroll through the park to the Ho Chi Minh Stilt House where Ho Chi Minh lived from 1958 to his death 1969. The bare bones two-room home has been preserved in the same condition as during his life, and can be viewed through the windows. Continue to the miniature 11th-century One Pillar Pagoda, rebuilt after being destroyed by the French army in 1954.
End the day with an hour-long tour of Hanoi city center by electric car. Ride through the city, a blend of long established traditions and modern imprints of Western colonization. See Quan Su Pagoda, Silk Road, Hanoi Railway Station, Hoa Lo Prison, and Hanoi Opera House as you zip through tree-lined boulevards and narrow lanes brimming with daily life.
Day 3. Hanoi
Today is entirely your own! Shop around for souvenirs like Vietnamese silk products, woven masks or specialty teas, like lotus tea. Don't miss out on the chance to try authentic Vietnamese pho or bahn mi!
Day 4. Hanoi - Saigon
Pack away what you've bought in Hanoi and transfer to the airport so you can fly to your next destination: Saigon! You'll meet your second English-speaking guide there before transferring to your hotel in Saigon.

Check-in - Novotel Saigon Centre
Escape the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City in this contemporary, comfortable hotel. Located right in the heart of the financial and commercial districts, this hotel sits right near Saigon Square, Notre Dame Cathedral, the War Remnants Museum, The Independence Palace, and more.
After a day of exploring this vibrant city, head back to the hotel and work all your stresses away in the fitness center. After a tough workout, reward yourself with a refreshing dip in the large swimming pool. Return to your room, freshen up in the luxurious bathroom, then unwind with a cocktail in one of the four on-site bars. Nice night? Enjoy the pleasant breeze while you sip your cocktail on the outdoor terrace and gaze out at the sparkling city. When it's time to eat, indulge in mouthwatering cuisine at the modern on-site restaurant.
Head up to your room, kick off your shoes, and sprawl out on your large comfortable bed. Look through priceless photos from the day, catch up on your favorite TV shows, or use the hotel's free WiFi to plan your next day of adventure.
Day 5. Saigon
Today you'll get to follow your guide on another city tour, this time through Saigon, also called Ho Chi Minh City. Explore the vibrant metropolis, from the Palace of the South and the Reunification Palace, to the Emperor of Jade Pagoda and the neo-Romanesque Notre Dame Cathedral.
The rest of the day will be yours to shop, find places to eat, and explore! Perhaps you'll peruse through Saigon's massive central Ben Thanh Market to pick out the perfect handmade souvenir. You could also seek out the best spot to dig into a bowl of bun mam or goi cuon and cha gio.
Saigon Sightseeing Tour (half-day)
As Vietnam's largest metropolis, Saigon teems with energy, activity, and motion. Everywhere you go, you will see the convergence of traditional and modern life. Begin the tour with a visit to the Reunification Palace. Formerly the Independence Palace of the South Vietnamese president, this 60s-era building was famously stormed by tanks on April 30, 1975, signifying the fall of South Vietnam. Unmissable are the original tanks that remain on display near the entrance gates.
Afterward, drive to the city's historic center and visit the Emperor of Jade Pagoda, one of Saigon's signature pagodas. Pay a quick visit to the neo-Romanesque Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office, then pass classic European-style landmarks like the ornate City Hall (Hotel De Ville) and the old Opera House (both of which can only be seen from the outside). End the tour at the central Ben Thanh Market, where vendors display a vast array of goods and handicrafts.
Day 6. Saigon
Today is yours to do as you like. You can shop to your heart's content, try new and exciting dishes, and of course go sightseeing! Check out dazzling pagodas, the starlight bridge (best at night), gold-topped buildings, and traditional architecture set amid a modern city.Â
Day 7. Depart Vietnam
Squeeze all of your souvenirs into your suitcase and transfer to the airport to catch your flight home!
