Day 1. Welcome to Iceland!
Once you arrive at your hotel, check in and get familiar with your surroundings. Tonight, head out on your guided Northern Lights tour!
Wake up to the sights, sounds and smells of unspoiled nature all around you at this newly refurbished and certified Green Hotel. The Berjaya Reykjavik Natura Hotel features 220 well-equipped, tastefully decorated guestrooms that boast artwork and design inspired by Iceland's natural surroundings - water, geothermal energy, moss, lava and glaciers.
Indulge in true Icelandic cuisine at the hotel's very own Satt restaurant, known for its fresh, simply prepared food sourced from the best local farmers and fisherman. Enjoy your meal in the warmly decorated restaurant, or get some fresh air and eat outside on the patio -- don't worry, there are outdoor heaters.
Taking inspiration from Iceland's unique surroundings and natural resources, the acclaimed Soley Natura Spa uses organic products to offer pampering, tailor-made treatments in a luxurious setting. Find peace in the spa's tranquil yoga room or take a pleasant swim in the salt water relaxation pool.
When it's time for adventure, you won't have to travel far. Berjaya Reykjavik Natura Hotel is located in the middle of the capital's most popular natural attractions such as Skerjafjordur, Oskjuhlid, and Nautholsvik, so bundle up and get exploring. After a day of activity, grab a hot drink and cozy up in front of the hotel's large fireplace. If you're not ready for the day to be over, just take a look at the hotel's activity calendar and keep the fun going with things like movie nights and bedtime stories.
Midgardur by Center Hotels sits along Laugarvegur, Reykjavík's bustling shopping hub, making it the ideal base for immersing yourself in the city's vibrant atmosphere. From here, you can easily explore the historic center, indulge in shopping, savor culinary delights at restaurants and cafés, experience the lively nightlife, and discover all the main attractions of the city center.
The hotel boasts comfortable and contemporary rooms, a Nordic fusion restaurant, and versatile meeting facilities. In the Lobby Lounge, guests can unwind in a casual setting enhanced by minimalist lighting and greenery, creating a soft and inviting ambiance.
The hotel's modern U-shaped design encompasses a beautifully landscaped secluded garden, accessible from both the lobby and the restaurant. Within this tranquil oasis lies an outdoor hot pool, a highlight of the exquisite Miðgardur Spa located on the hotel's lower level.
Experience a spectacular tour that offers the chance to witness a breathtaking phenomenon visible from late August to mid-April: the northern lights, or aurora borealis. This captivating display arises from the interaction of solar particles with the upper atmosphere near the Magnetic Pole.
Choosing a guided tour significantly increases the likelihood of seeing the northern lights in Iceland. A team of experts closely monitors weather conditions, optimal locations, and aurora forecasts on a daily basis to assess the best opportunities for sightings. While this tour is weather-dependent and sightings cannot be guaranteed, participants will have the chance to immerse themselves in Icelandic nature at night, enjoying views of the Milky Way, stars, the moon, clouds, and the serenity of total darkness. Please note that return times are subject to variation.
Day 2. Reykjavik
