When you arrive at Dublin Airport you will pick up your rental car that you will have for the duration of the trip which means you can discover all sorts of treasures throughout Ireland, at your own pace! Your first night will be at the 4-star Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel just 25 minutes outside of the capital city of Dublin. The castle is ideally located near Killiney Hill, Victoria Park, and the James Joyce tower. Plus, you will be nine miles outside of Dublin's vibrant city center!
Following the Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel, enjoy a scenic drive to your home for the next two nights, The Kilronan Castle in Roscommon. The castle is a vision, sitting on 49 acres of natural beauty, striking the perfect balance between incorporating old-world charm with new-world luxuries. Visit the Lough Key Forest for a spectacular view and a little fresh Irish air!
From here, travel to Galway where you will spend the next two nights at the 5-star Glenlo Abbey. Day 1. Welcome to Dublin!
Arrive in the vibrant capital city! You will pick up your rental car at the airport and take off to your first destination; the 4-star Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel. Keep in mind that you will be driving on the opposite side of the road so proceed with caution! Your castle hotel is only nine miles outside of Dublin’s city center. There are a few must-see sites including Trinity College, the Guinness Storehouse and Temple Bar.

Day 2. Dublin - Roscommon
Head towards the Kilronan Castle Hotel for your next two nights. The drive will take a little more than two hours. You will be situated on 40 acres of beautiful scenery and have the shores of the Lough Meelagh as your backdrop. Once you arrive in Roscommon, you can relax at the luxurious castle hotel or jump right in! Explore the breathtaking Roscommon lawns for some of Ireland’s purest beauty.

Day 3. Roscommon
Enjoy the day at your leisure in Roscommon. Spend a few hours at the Boyle Abbey where you will learn even more about the Irish heritage that exists here.
Day 4. Roscommon - Galway
Next, take the drive over to the eclectic city of Galway! The drive will take approximately three hours and you will spend two nights at the 5-star Glenlo Abbey Hotel. While here, you'll want to make the trip over to the Cliffs of Moher for some of the most impressive views of the Galway Bay.

Day 5. Galway
Galway is known as “Ireland’s Cultural Heart” due to the countless festivals, celebrations and events it hosts throughout the year. At some point during your time here, be sure to visit the Church of Ireland St. Nicholas' Collegiate Church, located in the heart of the city and the largest medieval church still in everyday use in Ireland.
Day 6. Galway - Cavan
Following the Glenlo Abbey you will travel to the Cabra Castle in Kingscourt for your final night in Ireland. While here, you can check out the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Newgrange, Knowth and Dowth which are only about a 45-minute drive away.

Day 7. Depart Ireland
Today you will head back to America. You’ll have about an hour long drive to Dublin Airport so you’ll want to plan accordingly so you are not rushed while preparing to depart Ireland. You will be surrounded by Irish countryside and be able to enjoy a bit of privacy if you’d like, or explore the city one last time before heading back to America.
