Day 1. Dublin Suggestion
The highlight of this adventure is that you will have complete freedom over where you go throughout your time in Ireland. You will arrive at Dublin Airport and collect your rental car and begin your journey. Dublin is a dynamic city with several different historically significant attractions, along with a vibrant nightlife you will want to experience. Spend a day or two here and be sure to visit St. Patrick's Cathedral, Trinity College (and the Book of Kells!) and the iconic Temple Bar. The Guinness Storehouse is a unique type of tour where you finish at the Sky Bar with a pint of the delicious beer!
Day 2. Galway Suggestion
For your second full day in Ireland, take your adventures to another must-see city: Galway. This city is about two hours away from Dublin, so you'll likely want to spend two nights over here. Be sure to visit the Bunratty Castle and Folk Park if you decide to stay. Other notable attractions include the Burren and the Kylemore Abbey.Â
Day 3. Galway Suggestion
You're halfway through your trip! Take this day to rest back at your accommodation or to explore more of whatever city you're in. You might even want to explore the quaint town of Clifden, which is home to dozens of cute shops and boutiques. And hey, do some souvenir shopping while you're at it!Â
Day 4. Cliffs of Moher Suggestion
Just outside the Wild Atlantic Way, you'll see numerous spots that are ideal for gazing at and taking photos. Stop by a few of them to make your visit to the Cliffs of Moher all the more memorable. You can enjoy some of the most spectacular views of the Aran Islands and Galway Bay once you arrive at the Cliffs themselves.
Day 5. Limerick Suggestion
Serving as the home of the iconic Treaty Stone and King Johns Castle, Limerick is one destination in Ireland you don't want to miss. Visit these two popular attractions to learn some history, then spend the rest of the day exploring the city at your own pace.
Day 6. Killarney Suggestion
Next stop: the great southern city of Killarney. Known for the marvelous sights of Ring of Kerry and the vast Dingle Peninsula, you'll find some of Ireland's most beautiful spots here in this city.Â
Day 7. Depart Ireland!
Get ready to wave goodbye to Ireland! Make sure all your belongings are packed before you return your rental car back to the airport, then depart the Emerald Isle back home.Â
