Day 1. Welcome to Copenhagen!
Say "hej" to Denmark when you arrive at Copenhagen Airport. Head to your hotel, get settled in, then start exploring the city! Consistently named one of the happiest cities in the world, Copenhagen is the perfect blend of city cool and laidback charm.
From December 26-30, the night skies above Copenhagen are treated to world-class fireworks displays as part of the annual Tivoli Fireworks Festival. Don't miss this while you're here!

Day 2. Copenhagen
Activate your 72-hour sightseeing pass today and see the city's highlights with ease. Get off the bus and explore Amalienborg Palace, home to the Danish Royal Family. The bus also stops at the iconic Little Mermaid statue from Hans Christian Andersen's "The Little Mermaid."
In the evening, use your entrance to Tivoli Gardens, the second-oldest operating amusement park in the world dating back to 1843. The park really comes alive at night with its twinkling lights!

Explore Copenhagen's highlights at your own pace with a 72-hour hop-on/hop-off bus pass. Easily get around Copenhagen and see all there is to see; the Mermaid Tour takes you past Amalienborg Palace and Rosenborg Castle, out to the Little Mermaid, the Black Diamond and back through the city center.

Day 3. Copenhagen

If you're in need for a few last-minute gifts, head to the Stroget neighborhood. Here you will find the signature Danish design stores along with many quirky establishments.
At midnight on New Year's Eve, it's traditional for people to gather at Town Hall Square to hear the clock tower chime in the new year. Another popular gathering spot is the Queen Louise's Bridge across the lakes to Norrebro. Hum along to the national anthem, then have a piece of traditional marzipan cake (kransekage) with a glass of champagne to celebrate!A Tip For Your Trip: Depending on your departure date, New Year's Eve may fall on Day 2.
Day 4. Depart Denmark
Your whirlwind New Year's break in Copenhagen ends today. Head back to the airport at the appropriate time for your flight home.
