Day 1. Welcome to Oxford!
Arrive in London and make your way to your first accommodation in Oxford. Once you settle in, head into town for a leisurely dinner.Â
Check-in - Courtyard by Marriott Oxford City Centre
Make your retreat to Courtyard Oxford City Centre. Nestled in the heart of Oxford city centre, this hotel provides guests unparalleled access to local attractions like Oxford University, Bicester Village, Oxford Castle, Westgate Centre and so much more. Take in stunning castle views from the rooftop terrace or dine at the welcoming restaurant, offering modern English classics in the heart of this world-famous University City.Â
Day 2. Oxford
Home to the oldest University in Britain, Oxford is an architectural marvel. Leave the car at home and spend the day on foot.
Learn more about the city by visiting places such as Pitt Rivers Museum, William Morris’ Original Workshop, and the Bodleian Library if you wish. Gaze at Hertford Bridge, which is often referred to as The Bridge of Sighs because of its supposed similarity to the bridge of the same name in Venice.
The gem of the city is of course the university that shares its name. You'll want to leave some time to explore the campus, and if you wish - climb the tower of the University Church of St. Mary the Virgin for some of the city's most breathtaking views.
Day 3. Oxford - London
Make sure you've gotten everything you want from Oxford and hit the road to London. Check into your hotel and explore your new surroundings.
Maybe take a stroll by the London Eye, the huge and iconic Ferris wheel that lights up in seasonal colors at night. You can share a pod with other visitors, or splurge on a private pod to enjoy gorgeous views across the city with just yourself and your travel companions.
Check-in - Crowne Plaza Kings Cross
An upscale London hotel with a Belgian restaurant and a spa near St Pancras International station
Crowne Plaza London - Kings Cross is a short walk from St Pancras train station, where Eurostar services leave for Europe. It’s a 15-minute walk to Russell Square or King's Cross St. Pancras Underground stations and Heathrow Airport (LHR) is a one-hour direct ride on the Piccadilly Line. A relaxed stroll brings you the vast collection of antiquities at the British Museum, flagship stores and restaurants at Covent Garden, and the West End theatre district. The city of London financial institutions are reachable with a quick Tube trip.Â
Day 4. London
There's plenty to do in The Square Mile. Today, maybe you'd like to see the Tower of London, go through the London Bridge Experience, or stare in awe at Windsor Castle, Kensington Palace, and Hampton Court Palace!
Day 5. London
London is known for many things, but pop culture brings a lot of us to Harry Potter. For HP fans, make sure you visit Platform 9 3/4 in King's Cross station! For those who aren't interested in wizardry, maybe another kind of magic can entice you.
Take a walk through Piccadilly Circus, London's version of New York's Times Square. Five roads converge to become the center of London's buzz, with dozens of shops, restaurants, and people. Seeing everything lit up at night brings that magical ambiance; fair warning though, this place isn't actually a circus - but it's just as wild as one!
Day 6. Depart England
Say goodbye to England, until next time. Drop off your rental car, board your flight, and spend the relaxing trip home dreaming about your next adventure.Â
