Day 4. Lisbon - Coimbra
After breakfast, begin your journey north to Coimbra, a former home of the King of Portugal, Dom Afonso Henriques. Enjoy the rest of the day on your own, exploring this ancient city!
Tonight you may want to experience the city's famous twist on Portugal's popular musical style, Fado; in Coimbra the haunting melodies are sung only by men.Relax at this comfortable, stylish hotel located right in the heart of Coimbra. Day 6. Coimbra - Porto
This morning, depart Coimbra and drive approximately 80 miles to Porto. Start your adventure off in one of Porto's most famous and oldest districts: Ribiera. Make your way through the narrow streets, stopping at the many shops and cafes along the way!
Along the banks you'll pass by dozens of old Rabelo boats, loaded with Port Wine cellars - treat yourself to a ride on one, sipping wine while coasting along the river Douro!
Carris Porto Ribeira is a 4 star historic hotel overlooking the iconic Douro River. Porto Airport is just 20 minutes by car, and Sao Bento Station is just 5 minutes by foot.
