Day 1. Welcome to Reykjavik!
Welcome to Iceland! Arrive in Keflavik International Airport (KEF) and head toward your hotel for check-in. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Why not take a stroll to the harbor and indulge in a freshly caught meal?
Tonight, make a date with Aurora Borealis. If seeing the Northern Lights is on your bucket list, you'll greatly increase your chance of seeing them if you start on night one. Luck will always factor in on this endeavor but if conditions are right, you'll be rewarded with a spectacular show!
Check-in - Hótel Ísland - Spa and Wellness Hotel
Hótel Ísland is ideally located near botanic gardens, Iceland's largest outdoor thermal pool, and other city attractions. Take in Reykjavik's shops, restaurants, museums, cultural activities, and nightlife from the comfort of this welcoming hotel. Pop by the Northern Lights Spa to treat yourself to a relaxing treatment or work up a sweat in the fitness center.
Day 2. Reykjavik
Explore Iceland's capital city at your own pace today. Stroll through the picturesque streets, and perhaps visit an art gallery or two. For lunch, treat yourself to an iconic Icelandic hot dog at the city's most famous stand - you'll know you're at the right one when you see a line wrapped around the corner!
Head to the famous church Hallgrímskirkja during sunset, to see this unique architectural wonder surrounded by the stunning colors of the Icelandic sky.
Day 3. Reykjavik
Discover the country's most famous natural wonders by taking yourself on a tour of the Golden Circle! Located along the largest lake in Iceland, Thingvellir National Park is a remarkable and historic geological site, which boasts a UNESCO World Heritage Site designation. The beautiful canyon that runs through the park is actually the meeting point of two of the earth’s tectonic plates.
Day 4. Depart Iceland
If your flight is in the afternoon, use your last moments to walk along the harbor seafront and breathe the fresh Atlantic breeze. In accordance with your departure time, make your way to the airport and board your flight home.
