Day 1. Welcome to Portland!
After arriving in Portland, check into your hotel and get settled. Head out and explore to celebrate your first night on Portland vacation. Indulge in delicious New England seafood like an iconic lobster roll, then enjoy drinks at one of the various microbreweries in the area.

Day 3. Portland

Venture to the vibrant West End neighborhood tonight to wander around the waterfront park promenade and watch the sunset while having dinner.
Day 4. Portland - Bar Harbor
Say goodbye to Portland, as today, you'll drive to Bar Harbor! Keep in mind this should take about three hours, so plan accordingly. You might like to make a pit stop in historic Wiscasset for Maine's best lobster rolls, then relax at your hotel to feel energized for tomorrow.
The Holiday Inn Resort Bar Harbor rests on the attractive Bar Harbor in coastal Maine. Over 1,000 feet of ocean frontage and hundreds of tall trees surround the vista, which itself includes a small marina connected to the Frenchman's Bay.

Day 5. Bar Harbor

There are tons of places to venture around here, including but not limited to Cadillac Mountain, Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse, Otter Point, Thunder Hole, Thompson Island, and Schooner Head Overlook. Spend today marveling at the beautiful natural wonders of Maine before resting back at your hotel.
Day 6. Bar Harbor
Wake up at leisure, have breakfast at a local restaurant, and then head to Bar Harbor Shore Path. This half-mile long path is a great low-intensity walk that provides gorgeous views of the shore. Visit Bar Island afterwards, which is just north of town and accessible by foot at low-tide, to walk around and enjoy beautiful mountain views.
Day 7. Depart Bar Harbor
Your incredible US road trip has come to an end. It's time to say "see you later" to Bar Harbor and depart!
