Day 1. Welcome to San Francisco
To begin your trip, check into your San Francisco hotel. Once you're settled, head out and get to know the city!
Tonight, you may want to check out the city's iconic Chinatown. Filled with fantastic restaurants, unique shops, and ornate temples, it's the perfect place for a hearty first-night meal!
Check-in - Hotel Riu Plaza Fisherman´s Wharf
Located in the center of the action, this stylish hotel is just a 10-minute walk from buzzing Pier 39! When you step inside, you'll be welcomed by a friendly reception team. Admire the hotel's contemporary decor, then head up to your well-equipped room! Open the door and find crisp air conditioning, comfortable beds, internet access, and much more.Â
Once you get settled, unpack your swimsuit and make a splash in the outdoor pool! Work up an appetite in the fitness center, then treat yourself to dinner at the onsite restaurant - or walk to one nearby!Â
Day 2. San Francisco
Enjoy breakfast, then explore at your leisure! Today, consider a visit to the Golden Gate Bridge. Once you take a ton of pictures, hang out in Golden Gate Park. Be sure to check out San Francisco Botanical Garden right next door! From there, you may want to make a stop at The Painted Ladies - a historical row of Victorian houses, most famously featured on the hit TV show Full House! If you haven't already, hop on an iconic cable car to Haight-Ashbury, the birthplace of the 1960s counterculture movement! Grab dinner at a restaurant in this funky area, and hit a record shop, or two!
Day 3. San Francisco
Rise and shine! Recharge with a delicious breakfast, then grab your camera and start exploring! Consider hanging around Fisherman's Wharf today. Known for its postcard-worthy views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz, this buzzing area is filled with souvenir shops, crab stands, and cute bakeries. You'll also find a colony of resident sea lions lounging in the sun! Be sure to make a stop at Ghiradelli Square and treat yourself to a decadent chocolate treat!
Day 4. San Francisco - Sonoma
Jump in your car and leave San Francisco behind as your journey continues further north to Sonoma County, well-known for its exceptional wineries.Â
On your way, you might want to make a stop in Santa Rosa where outdoor activities are plentiful giving you the option to visit the Laguna de Santa Rosa or Trione-Annadel State Park to walk one of their many trails featuring ponds, native plants, and vineyard views. You can also make your way over to nearby tasting experiences at Kendall-Jackson Wine Estate & Gardens and Matanzas Creek Winery where you can book a garden tour, sample a flight of wine, or learn about the best food and wine pairings.
Check in to your Sonoma hotel and enjoy dinner at one of the nearby lovely restaurants before settling in for the evening.

Just minutes from wineries and next door to Fox Tail Golf Club, the Doubletree Hotel Sonoma Wine Country is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Day 5. Sonoma
There are tons of wineries in the area so take your pick of where to head today! If the weather's nice you might consider renting a bicycle.Â
Explore the romantic small town of Healdsburg, starting in its charming 19th-century plaza. Visit tasting rooms, peruse book stores, and shop in the many boutiques and art galleries. Then head to nearby Seghesio Family Vineyards to sample the famed zinfandel and try your hand at the bocce court, a popular activity in Sonoma.
Next, head to Ferrari-Carano Winery & Gardens to meander the 5 acres of gorgeous gardens, waterfalls, and footbridges.
Day 6. Depart Sonoma
Your epic trip has come to an end. It's time to head home and start planning your next adventure!Â
