Day 1. Edinburgh Suggestion
Welcome to Edinburgh! Grab your rental car from the airport after collecting your belongings, you're about to experience the Scottish vacation of a lifetime! Check into your hotel and put down your stuff, then consider exploring through Edinburgh's famous strip: the Royal Mile. This road is brimming with historic landmarks, dozens of restaurants, museums, cafes, and much more to make your trip all the more worth it. Use the remainder of your first day here in Edinburgh exploring this iconic strip.
Day 2. Edinburgh Suggestion
If you're up for a fun adventure, it would be a great idea for you to visit some of Edinburgh's famous parks today. Various in number, these parks are sure to fill your soul with peace and relaxation, as well as excitement for what else is to come during your Scotland vacation! A good place to start is the Holyrood Park. Beautiful by itself, you'll definitely want to see the views from the top. The scenery overlooking the cityscape is unlike anywhere else!Â
Day 3. Inverness Suggestion
Time to put that rental car to use! Start by taking a short drive over to the picturesque town of Inverness today. You'll want to visit a few key landmarks there, most of which are in rather close proximity to each other. First, consider the incredible Inverness Castle where you can walk through the exterior and take photos to keep for memories. Other recommendations include Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle, Inverness Museum and Gallery, Fort George, and more!
Day 4. Glasgow Suggestion
Time to head to Glasgow, known as one of the friendliest cities in the world and a cultural hotspot for all things music! You'll want to visit the city's most iconic building first: the City Chambers. Such as magnificent building such as this cannot be overlooked. It's a crowd-favorite site both for locals and tourists! You can book a free tour and learn the history behind it. Finish off your night by trying to catch a live music event or by simply strolling through the streets.Â
Day 5. Glasgow Suggestion
For your next day in Glasgow, it's time to further your education by taking towards some of Glasgow's museums. Rest assured you'll find one that you like considering the vast number of them that exist in Glasgow. A great way to start off your adventure is by visiting the Gallery of Modern Art or the Riverside Museum. Be sure to plan ahead of time what you'd like to see, as most of these exhibitions offer special programs throughout various days.Â
Day 6. Edinburgh Suggestion
Back to Edinburgh you go! Since you've seen some of the more historical buildings in Scotland so far, it's time to see the one that makes Edinburgh so memorable. That's none other than Edinburgh Castle, of course. This construct is one of the most historic sites in all of Western Europe, so be sure to soak it all in and take pictures!
Day 7. Depart Scotland!
Be sure to pack all of your belongings and say goodbye to Scotland! Arrive to the Edinburgh airport with plenty of time to drop off your rental car before heading back home.Â
