Day 1. Welcome to Naples!
Touch down in Naples! Pick up your rental car and make the easy drive to your hotel (approximately only 30 minutes), check in, and get settled into your comfortable accommodations. When you're ready, explore Sorrento by starting at its main square, Piazza Tasso. Dine at a local cafe or enjoy an afternoon aperitivo while admiring the colorful buildings and stream of people walking by. Close-by you'll find Via San Cesareo, known as "vicoletti" by the locals or "laneways" in English.
Local shops and markets selling fresh fruit and vegetables are abundant here, as well as boutique shops to buy souvenirs – so treat yourself to some shopping! While in the city, you may also wish to marvel at the impressive remains of the City Walls that were built around 400 BC to protect the city.
Towers Hotel Stabiae Sorrento Coast eschews the ordinary and embodies the magnificent. Transformed from an old cement factory to the four-star retreat is it today, the property is named for its towers that soar above the coastline and beckon visitors to surrender to its charms. A bastion of hospitality, the hotel is cradled between the Gulf of Naples and the Sorrento Peninsula.
Peruse the Wellness Center Spamarine menu to choose from an assortment of massages, body and facial treatments, or beauty treatments. Then, relax in the wellness area which features a hydro-jet pool, herbal tea corner, sauna, Turkish bath, cold grotto, and a relaxing area. Satisfy your craving for Mediterranean gastronomy at Gouache, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Should you wish to treat yourselves to deluxe fine dining on a magnificent terrace over the entire Gulf of Naples, don’t forget to try Blu Stone Restaurant (part of the same Hotel’s ownership) only a 5-minute walk from the hotel. A special 10% discount is reserved for the hotel’s guests.
Drink in the sea views at sunset over a cocktail from Acquerello bar and enjoy daily sunbathing by the hotel’s private beach and infinity swimming pool (open seasonally). High-speed WIFi internet connection is available for free and private daily shuttle bus running at scheduled times throughout the day (at a charge). Book your daily sea excursions (leaving directly from the hotel's private pier – available seasonally) or discover the most beautiful nearby places (Pompeii, Mount Vesuvio, Herculaneum, the Amalfi Coast, Naples) with a wide range of ground excursions.
Overlooking the Gulf of Naples, Hotel Miramare Stabia is conveniently located in the center of Castellammare Di Stabia, between the marina and the port. You'll be just a 5-minute walk from the Castellammare Di Stabia train station, which allows you to reach the most important historical and tourist attractions between Naples and Sorrento in just a few minutes. Amenities of the hotel include free WiFi, restaurant, bar with outdoor seating and seasonal outdoor pool. Half-day Tour of Pompeii Excavations - AM (from Pompeii)
This small-group Pompeii walking tour highlights one of the most significant archaeological sites in the world. You’ll meet your guide in the city center, and with their assistance, you’ll be able to purchase your tickets to the site and gain skip the line access. You guide will share interesting facts about Pompeii, highlighting some of the most important locations within the site, such as the thermal baths, the frescos of the Lupanare brothel, the Macellum with its “tabernae”, famous workshops located in the commercial streets, the Basilica and the House of Faun.
Walk through Pompeii’s paved streets that are laid out just as they would have been before the eruption of the Mt. Vesuvius in 79 AD, with private homes mixed in with shops, restaurants, temples and more. Please note: your exact route will depend on the crowds and the weather conditions; and in the event of maintenance or restoration projects, you’ll be shown alternative iconic parts of the city.
Day 3. Sorrento
Head to Bagni della Regina Giovanna today to visit the first century BC Villa Pollio Felice. These Roman villa ruins are spectacular, and the natural pool below makes for the perfect place to swim.
