Day 1. Welcome to St. Petersburg!
Touchdown in the stunning city of St. Petersburg! Transfer to your hotel to drop off your bags and meet your Local Host, who will be more than happy to help you start our adventure with any questions you might have, as well as directions for getting around this fascinating city.

Check-in - Angleterre Hotel
Take a quick 5-minute stroll from Palace Square, the Hermitage, or Nevsky Prospekt to arrive at the Angleterre Hotel. Sitting right next to the illustrious Saint Isaac's Cathedral, those staying at the Angleterre can enjoy the hotel's gym, sauna, solarium, spa, the indoor pool, the on-site restaurant, the tour and ticket desk available for help and advice, multi-functional meeting rooms, free Wi-Fi, daily breakfast, and a bar.
Rooms are chic and feature air conditioning, a safe, hypo-allergenic bedding upon request, a desk, ironing facilities, and private bathrooms complete with bathrobes, slippers, a hairdryer, and complimentary toiletries. The surrounding area is excellent for finding cathedrals and amazing architecture, and digging into the local history.
Day 2. St. Petersburg
Take the morning to explore the surrounding area for yourself, and pick out the perfect spot to have lunch and perhaps try a local specialty, like pelmeni or solyanka.Â
Then, meet up with your Tour Director at 2pm and follow your guide through your walking tour to visit St. Isaac's Cathedral. In the evening, you'll get to enjoy a taste of traditional Russian delicacies like pickled cucumber, caviar, vodka, and blinis at your welcome dinner.
Day 3. St. Petersburg
Set out to visit the stunning Winter Palace complex with your guide, where czars of Russia's past spent the frigid winter months. Now home to the world-famous Hermitage Museum, the palace offers a spectacular glimpse into the ancient royal life of Russia, and now houses beautiful artworks by da Vinci and Rembrandt.
Day 4. St. Petersburg
Stop in at the home of Russia's last czar in Pushkin, at the jaw-dropping Catherine Palace. With stunning blue-and-white-striped pillars, amazing grounds and gardens, and breathtaking gilded halls, the castle is sure to impress.
The rest of the day is for you to spend at your leisure, shopping for souvenirs or digging up more beautiful sights the city has to offer.
*If Catherine Palace is closed, you will visit Pavlovsk Palace instead.
Day 5. St. Petersburg - Moscow
Pack away your things and board the high-speed Sapsan Train to the capital of Russia: Moscow! There's plenty to see and do in this bustling city, and opportunity awaits around every corner.
The rest of the day is yours to do as you like! You could explore the white tiles, amber mosaics, and brass statues that make up the Underground, or take a casual stroll through the beautiful Gorky Park.

Stay in the magnificent city of Moscow at the Moscow Marriott Grand Hotel. Day 6. Moscow
Today you'll stand in the majestic Red Square, surrounded by excellent Russian shopping and topped by Saint Basil's Cathedral, and the Kremlin, a medieval city within a city.Â
Admire the Kremlin's cathedrals, palaces, and stunning towers, visit the Bolshoi Theater, then continue the theme as you make your way through the Armory Museum, where relics from the past, like Ivan the Terrible's throne, make a modern day appearance.
Day 7. Moscow
Today set out on another day packed full of amazing sights! You'll get to see the largest Orthodox Christian church in the world, the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, as well as the Novodevichy Convent, and the Novodevichy Cemetery which holds the remains of Russian musicians, authors, and political leaders.
Then you'll get the chance to sit down to a farewell dinner with your traveling companions and Tour Director, with Russian champagne and local specialties.
Day 8. Depart Russia
Pack away your souvenirs, enjoy your last Russian breakfast, and bid Russia dasvidaniya as you make your way to the airport to catch your flight home.
