Day 1. Welcome to Rome!
Arrive in Rome and collect your rental car. Take off to your first destination in Sorrento. The drive will take just over three hours. You'll spend four nights here so you'll have plenty of time to explore. You'll have Sorrento at your doorstep - spend the remainder of the day strolling the city.
Check-in - The Towers Hotel Stabiae Sorrento Coast
Towers Hotel Stabiae Sorrento Coast eschews the ordinary and embodies the magnificent. Transformed from an old cement factory to the four-star retreat is it today, the property is named for its towers that soar above the coastline and beckon visitors to surrender to its charms. A bastion of hospitality, the hotel is cradled between the Gulf of Naples and the Sorrento Peninsula.
Peruse the Wellness Center Spamarine menu to choose from an assortment of massages, body and facial treatments, or beauty treatments. Satisfy your craving for Mediterranean gastronomy at Gouache, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Day 2. Sorrento
Spend an entire day exploring the Amalfi Coast! From Ravello to Positano, there's so much to see and explore in this stunning coastal region.
Full-day Amalfi Coast Tour
Embark on a full-day tour with a professional driver and English-speaking guide. Sightsee all along the enchanting Amalfi Coast with stops in the cascading village of Positano, the historic town of Amalfi, and the resort town of Ravello. Along the way, you will drive through Praiano, Furore and Conca de Marini.
Day 3. Sorrento
Take the drive to Naples this morning for an adventure to this beautiful seaside city. While in Naples you'll want to visit the Molo Beverello, the city-center, and Piazza Plebiscito, the Galleria Umberto and Via Roma, the main shopping street in Naples.
Day 4. Sorrento
Head back to Naples and tour the ruins of Pompeii. Mt. Vesuvius erupted in 79 A.D. and buried the town of Pompeii in about 20 inches of ash. Today, the town has been excavated and is on the list of the Wonders of the World.
Pompeii (half day)
Pompeii was settled as early as the 8th century BC and by 79AD, it was a thriving commercial center. Vesuvius erupted and buried this city under a blanket of ash six meters deep. This will be an unmissable chance to jump into the past. Admire all the structures typical of the Roman world such as the main square or forum, baths, theaters, mansions with remains of frescoes from Roman times, and the spectacular plaster casts containing bones of Pompeians that died during the disaster. Return to Sorrento at approximately 1-1:30pm.
Day 5. Sorrento - Rome
From Sorrento, the scenic drive along the Amalfi Coast to Rome will take just about three hours. Time to start exploring the Eternal City - why not stop by the iconic Trevi Fountain to throw a coin in and make a wish?

Day 6. Rome
Continue exploring Rome! There are a ton of sites to check out including the Colosseum, the Roman Forum. and the Pantheon.
Day 7. Depart Italy
After a week of relaxing on the Amalfi Coast and exploring Rome, you will depart Italy.
