Day 1. Welcome to Rome!
Arrive in Rome and collect your rental car. Take off to your first destination on the Amalfi Coast. The drive will take just over three hours. You'll spend five nights here so you'll have plenty of time to explore. You'll have Sorrento at your doorstep and can also visit the beautiful town of Positano, a short drive away.
Check-in - The Towers Hotel Stabiae Sorrento Coast
Towers Hotel Stabiae Sorrento Coast eschews the ordinary and embodies the magnificent. Transformed from an old cement factory to the four-star retreat is it today, the property is named for its towers that soar above the coastline and beckon visitors to surrender to its charms. Day 2. Sorrento
Take the drive to Naples this morning for an adventure to this beautiful seaside city. You could always take the Circumvesuvian railway line from Sorrento to Naples and it will take about one-hour. While in Naples you'll want to visit the Molo Beverello, the city-center, and Piazza Plebiscito, the Galleria Umberto and Via Roma, the main shopping street in Naples.
Day 3. Sorrento
Head back to Naples and hike Mt. Vesuvius or tour the ruins of Pompeii. Mt. Vesuvius erupted in 79 A.D. and buried the town of Pompeii in about 20 inches of ash. Today, the town has been excavated and is on the list of the Wonders of the World.
Perhaps take a tour of Pompeii and you will see the Baths, Forums and Villas. You are able to see the outline of the town including streets, houses, the city center and more.
Day 4. Sorrento
In Southern Italy, you'll want to take advantage of the Italian way of life. Enjoy every moment of every day which means long lunches, strolls along the coast, and savoring the simple things. Take in the gorgeous Amalfi Coast or enjoy a boat trip to Capri.
Day 5. Sorrento
Make the most of your final day in this adorable town before you head to Italy's capital city- Rome! Sorrento is known for its juicy and large Sfusato lemons, the perfect lemon to produce their famous limoncello! Be sure to sample this local drink while you take in the stunning views of the town before you depart.
Day 6. Sorrento - Rome
From Sorrento, the scenic drive along the Amalfi Coast to Rome will take just about three hours.

Day 7. Rome

Day 8. Rome
Today you may want to spend some time in Vatican City; you can visit the breathtaking St. Peter's Basilica or soak up some art at the Vatican Museum, home to Michelangelo's famous Sistine Chapel ceiling.
Day 9. Depart Italy
After relaxing on the Amalfi Coast and exploring Rome, you will depart Italy.
