Day 1. Welcome to Hyannis!
Touch down at Boston Logan International Airport and head through baggage claim to pick up your rental car. Hop in and make your way toward Cape Cod! The drive will be about an hour and a half.Â
After you've checked into your hotel, treat yourself to a good meal at one of the lively restaurants in town. Hyannis is one of the best places to find the nightlife, so rest up if you want to go out!Â
DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Cape Cod - Hyannis is located a mile south of Barnstable Municipal Airport and a short jaunt from area attractions like Cape Cod Mall and US-6. The hotel is five minutes from Hyannis, where visitors can enjoy the John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum and concerts at Melody Tent. Relax at the nearby Bayberry Hills Golf Course or enjoy the hotel's amenities.Â
Day 2. Hyannis
Consider a trip to Falmouth for some family fun! Take a mile-long hike out to The Knob for incredible views of Buzzard's Bay, then hop back in the car for a drive to Nobska Lighthouse. Check out the shops and restaurants lining Main Street while the kids engage their brains and burn off extra energy at the Science Village Playground at Mullen-Hall School.
Day 3. Hyannis
Martha's Vineyard is a quintessential part of the Cape Cod experience. An island sitting just south of Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard is only accessible by boat. Spend the day in this idyllic paradise and soak up the understated elegance and picturesque loveliness of the island.
Day 4. Hyannis
No trip to Cape Cod is complete without a trip to Provincetown! Head to the northern tip of the cape for a day packed with color and culture. P-town showcases the area's artsy side with quirky galleries and architecture. Home to 40 miles of beaches, you could spend your entire trip in Provincetown and still need to come back to see it all.Â
Day 5. Hyannis
Start the day with a scenic drive to Sandwich. Explore the antique shops, visit Hoxie House (believed to be the oldest home on Cape Cod!), and take a serene walk along the Sandwich Boardwalk for a stunning sunset. A trip to the Sandwich Glass Museum will give you a look into the town's history and development.Â
Day 6. Hyannis
Take another island excursion today to Nantucket. Perfect for a romantic escape, Nantucket Island has soft sandy beaches, quaint cottages, and magnificent views. Rent a bike to explore, walk the Sconset Bluff, or consider treating yourself to an unforgettable sunset cruise.Â
Day 7. Hyannis
Spend your final night in Cape Cod enjoying the gems of Hyannis. Visit the JFK Museum, explore Main Street, or watch the sunset at the Waterfront.Â
Day 8. Depart Massachusetts
Today you'll embark on the roughly 1.5-hour drive back to Boston. Drop off your rental car, then board your flight home.Â
