Day 1. Welcome to Athens!
Welcome to Greece's historic capital of Athens! Once you arrive and settle into your hotel, start exploring the city on foot. Since 2004, the 2.5-mile long Archaeological Promenade at the foot of the Acropolis has made the city center much more walkable and reduced the notorious traffic congestion.

Day 2. Athens
Today, consider exploring the famous Acropolis and its sister museum housing the archaeological findings uncovered from the Acropolis.
Later, visit the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, a stone theater structure located at the base of the Acropolis. The theater was built during Roman times around 161 A.D. by the Roman philosopher, teacher and politician Herodes Atticus in memory of his late wife. Live performances are still held there today.
At night, head to the charming neighborhood of Plaka for a traditional Greek meal of moussaka, a mediterranean casserole layered with ground meat, bechamel, eggplant and potatoes.
Day 3. Athens - Santorini
In the morning, head to Piraeus port in Athens for your approximately 5-hour ferry to Santorini, known worldwide as the most romantic of the Greek Islands.
The remainder of your day is at your leisure to discover the volcanic island. As part of the Cyclades, Santorini sits between Athens and Crete in the shape of a crescent.
A Tip For Your Trip: Santorini is an island of steep hills. Pack a pair of comfortable shoes and be prepared to walk!

Day 5. Santorini
Explore Santorini's bustling capital of Fira today! Visit the Prehistoric Museum that hosts artifacts from the sites of Akrotiri and Ancient Thira, including the famous wall paintings, or discover the colorful beaches created by the volcanic eruption.
Before sunset, head north to Firostefani and Imerovigli along the caldera-edge pathway for spectacular views as the sun dips over the Mediterranean Sea.
Day 6. Santorini - Athens
Say goodbye to Santorini as you head to the port for your ferry back to Athens.
After dropping your bags at your hotel, spend your last night in Greece with an alfresco meal in charming Plaka and a stroll through the lively Monastiraki Square.

Day 7. Depart Greece
It's time to say goodbye to Greece. At the appropriate time, head to Athens airport for your flight home.
