Where to Travel Based on Your Chinese Zodiac Sign

By Megan Millisky

January 25th begins the Year of the Rat! Cities all over the world ring in the Chinese New Year with huge festivals. The streets come alive with giant puppets, singing, dancing, and marching through the streets. These celebrations stem back to ancient Chinese mythology, which inspired the traditions of the Lunar New Year.

Legend has it that there was a Jade Emperor who ruled over the gods. He held a race to determine which animals would earn a place on the calendar. With the Rat securing the first position in the zodiac, each of the 12 winners is said to represent unique traits of your character.
