Day 1. Welcome to Valletta!
Immerse yourself in the beauty of Malta's magnificent capital city, Valletta. After you land and collect your luggage, the fun begins! Hop in your comfortable transfer and enjoy a convenient ride to your luxurious accommodation.
Once you're all settled in, spend what's left of the day getting to know the city. Walk around and treat yourself to a delicious first-night meal!

Check-in - La Falconeria
Unwind in the chic La Falconeria in the Valletta region of Malta. With beautiful views, a subterranean pool, an on-site bar, and a gym the guests are welcome to use. Those staying with the Falconeria have access to the 24-hour front desk and car rentals provided by the hotel.
Rooms are comfortable and stylish, some with views of either the city or the sea. They feature a flat-screen TV, air conditioning, a safe, ironing facilities, coffee or tea making facilities, a hair dryer, and private bathrooms complete with toiletries, slippers, and bathrobes. The National Museum of Fine Arts and the Upper Barrakka Gardens is just 1,300 feet from the hotel, and the Malta International Airport is a little over 3 miles away.
Day 2. Valletta
After a good night's rest and a rejuvenating breakfast, grab your camera and get ready to seize the day! Today, explore every inch of Valletta on an included half-day city tour.
Spend the rest of your day sightseeing and re-visiting your favorite sights from the tour. Be sure to check out Saint John's Co-Cathedral and the magnificent Grandmaster's Palace. Stroll the narrow stone streets of the city and find a cute restaurant for dinner!
Valletta City Tour (half-day)
Discover the beauty and charm of the fortified city built by the Knights of St. John in 1566 - the capital of Malta, Valletta. The Order of St. John ruled over the islands for 268 years and left a unique cultural legacy of which Valletta is the prime example. Take in the beautiful views over the Grand Harbor from the Upper Barrakka Gardens before heading out to visit St. John's Co-Cathedral. Admire Flemish tapestries, the church museum, Caravaggio masterpieces in the Oratory, and the beautiful marble inlaid floors.
Going down Republic Street, walk past the Grand Master's Palace and the recently restored St. George's Square before enjoying an audio-visual show of Malta's history.
Day 3. Valletta
Enjoy breakfast, then head to the lovely Upper Barrakka Gardens. Nestled on the highest point of Valletta, these picture-perfect gardens encircle part of the city's old fortifications! Stroll through vibrant flower beds, trickling fountains, and rows of impressive archways. The gardens are known for their stunning views of the Grand Harbor, so have your camera ready!
These peaceful gardens are not only beautiful - they are also filled with history. Just below the gardens, you'll find old military cannons that are fired every day at noon during a traditional ceremony.
After a lovely morning in the gardens, head to Valletta Waterfront, a local hot-spot for off-the-beaten path dining! Colorful shops, renowned restaurants, and gorgeous views? Yes, please.
Day 4. Valletta
Spend your last full day in Valletta taking in the city's amazing architecture. Start with a visit to Valletta's spectacular 16th-century Saint John's Co-Cathedral. This ornate masterpiece is a testimony to the wealth and importance of the Knights of Malta. Step inside and feel your jaw drop as you admire gorgeous painted ceilings and lustrous gilded walls!
From Saint John's Co-Cathedral, walk only a block to find the historic Grandmaster's Palace. This is, without a doubt, Valletta's most magnificent building. Sitting adjacent to St. George's Square, this palace is a feast for the eyes. Explore the impressive State Rooms and stroll through the 18th-century hallways, adorned with Baroque ceiling paintings, dazzling tile work, and stunning statues. Once you take in all the royal beauty inside, relax in the lovely courtyard.
Day 5. Valletta - Rome, Italy
You'll be transferred to the Malta Airport in time for your flight to Rome!

Day 7. Rome
Pay a visit to the sites at Vatican City today! Explore the breathtaking St. Peter's Basilica, the world's largest Christian basilica.
Treat yourself to a visit of the Vatican Museums, where you'll be surrounded by masterpieces some of the greats, from Da Vinci to Giotto. Don't forget to stop by the show-stopper: the iconic Sistine Chapel ceiling, painted by Michelangelo.
Day 8. Rome
There is something to see and do around every corner in Rome. Take the metro over to the Colosseum where you can spend hours exploring this ancient architectural wonder. You will feel the immense emotion of the ruins where warriors fought to the death as the crowds cheered from the stands that are still intact today.
Next door, visit the ancient government buildings at the Roman Forum. You'll then want to head over to the Pantheon, where you can see one of the most influential and well-preserved monuments of its time.
Celebrate the last night of your trip with one final delicious dinner! Sip local wine and tuck into a plate of yummy Italian food!
Day 9. Depart Italy
Today you will be transferred to the Rome Airport to catch your flight home! Make sure you have all of your souvenirs packed!
