Day 1. Welcome to Austin
Touch down in the capital city of Texas, Austin, and pick up your rental car. Make your way to the hotel, check in and get settled.
Tonight, head out for some famous Texas barbecue! Austin has no shortage of well-known barbecue joints, so celebrate your first night in Texas with some great food and live country music.

Day 2. Austin
Austin is a lively city that bills itself as the "Live Music Capital of the World", filled with more than 250 music venues and a vibrant arts scene. There's more than music in Austin though - the city is also famous for its many parks and lakes which are popular for hiking and swimming. Austin is home to the handsome State Capitol Building and the Texas State History Museum, which you may want to check out today. If you are a Formula One fan, don't miss the opportunity to visit the only F1 circuit of the US: the Circuit of Americas.

Day 3. Austin
Today, spend some time strolling along South Congress Avenue (SoCo). Enjoy a delicious brunch, shop the many boutiques and maybe even buy your very own pair of cowboy boots at Allens Boots! With over 4,000 to choose from, you're sure to find a pair you love. Texas souvenir? Check!Â
This evening, head to Rainey Street, a must for any visit to Austin! This area is full of fun bars and restaurants, bounce around to as many as you'd like. Ready for a late night snack? Head to the nearby food truck lot and take your pick from tons of delicious options.

Day 4. Austin - San Antonio
Sleep in and have a leisurely breakfast in Austin, or get an early start for your drive to San Antonio - it's up to you! Depending on traffic, the drive should be under 2 hours so you've got plenty of flexibility today.Â
Once you're checked into your San Antonio hotel, head over to the trendy Pearl District, named for the historic Pearly Brewery. Listen to live music, peruse the charming shops and eat at one of the unique restaurants in the area.Â

Located in the San Antonio downtown area, this hotel is the perfect base for sightseeing. Market Square is the main shopping district of the city and is just a 7-minute walk away. Guests can also visit the famous Alamo site, located just 1.4 miles away from the hotel. The iconic San Antonio Riverwalk, which connects the city's must-see attractions, is just a 5-minute walk away.Â
Day 5. San Antonio
This morning, you'll probably want to visit the most famous sight in San Antonio, the Alamo. In 1836, a small group of Texas soldiers defended the Alamo against the Mexican army but were defeated. This was a crucial turning point in the Texans battle for independence, which they won soon after, and remains an important part of Texas history.
This afternoon, take a leisurely stroll along the well-known Riverwalk, a "must-do" in San Antonio. You can opt for a boat ride, or just walk along the river admiring the many hotels and restaurants along the way. Nearby, stop at Historic Market Square, the largest Mexican market in the United States.

Unfortunately it's time to wave goodbye to Texas, until next time! Drop your car at the airport and board your returning flight home.
