Day 1. Welcome to New Orleans!
Touch down in jazzy NOLA! After settling into your accommodations, maybe you'd like to walk around the French Quarter for a scrumptious seafood meal before calling it a night. Rest well and wake up ready for a fun-filled NOLA day!
The Hotel Indigo New Orleans - French Quarter is one of the newest hotels by IHG Hotels and Resorts, which has about 130 hotel properties in over 15 countries. This 10-story hotel is located in the central business district of New Orleans and provides over 140 guest rooms. The resort features a lounge, a fitness center, meeting spaces, and a restaurant offering scrumptious New Orleans cuisine.
This boutique hotel is just steps away from the famous French Quarter, where you can dance through the streets to live jazz music and feast on hearty po'boys. It's also a short walk away from the St. Charles Streetcar line, the oldest running street railway!
Day 2. New Orleans
Rise and shine, it's your first full day in the jazz capital of the world! Use your Craft Cocktail Walking Tour today and get to know the famous French Quarter, also known as the Vieux Carre (Old Square). Stroll through Jackson Square to check out art vendors, indulge in a beignet (or many) at Cafe du Monde, and shop around the French Market on Peters Street for fresh local cuisine and a flea market.
You can also head a bit further out and visit the New Orleans' Audubon Aquarium of the Americas right on the Mississippi River! Here you'll be able to see a myriad of bayou aquatic species native to the area, including alligators. NOLA is also one of the most "haunted" cities in the U.S., and as such hosts a variety of Ghost Tours! Perhaps you'd like to take one to learn more about the eerie history of the city, including Hoodoo (folk magic) and the disturbing experiments performed by Madam Lalaurie in the early 1800s (which you may recall from American Horror Story, season 3).
Venture around Bourbon Street tonight for live music, tons of brightly lit bars, and loads of incredible restaurants serving Cajun cuisine. This notorious street is pretty much a nonstop party stretching half a mile – grab your go-cup and have some fun!
