Day 1. Welcome to Rome!
Get ready for culture and cuisine - you're in Italy! Upon arrival in Rome, collect your rental car and head for the coastal region of Naples. Feel free to stop along the way, then spend the night relaxing in your comfortable accommodation.

Day 2. Naples
After breakfast, grab your camera and drive to sunny Sorrento! Get lost in the colorful streets of the old town and sip some refreshing limoncello! Gawk at Basilica di Sant'Antonio Abate and Sorrento Cathedral, then head down to the marina and treat yourself to an unforgettable sunset dinner.
Day 3. Naples
Get ready for the unbeatable beauty of the Amalfi Coast! Enjoy a pleasant breakfast, then take a scenic drive to the gorgeous cliffside town of Positano. Take photos of the colorful cascading homes, gaze out at the bright blue sea, and wander through the boutique and cafe-lined stone streets. Explore the amazing Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta, which features an impressive dome and a 13th-century Byzantine statue of the Virgin Mary!
Spend the evening relaxing on the beach, taking in the pinks and oranges of an incredible Amalfi sunset.
Day 4. Naples
Recharge with a bountiful breakfast, then start exploring! Today, spend some time at the only and only Mount Vesuvius. This famous volcano, which erupted and buried Pompeii in 79 AD, is the perfect place for a historical hike! While the climb to the summit is doable for most, you'll definitely need to stop for some water along the way. But, with beautiful views of the city of Naples, you'll be happy to stop. Wear comfortable shoes and expect about 30 minutes up and 30 minutes down.
After an active morning, head to the (in)famously ruined city of Pompeii. This vast archaeological site was once a thriving and sophisticated Roman city! Walk through the frescoed Villa of the Mysteries, see the large House of the Faun, and stand in the Temple of Apollo. See a glimpse of what life was like before this bustling city was buried under meters of volcanic ash and pumice.
Day 5. Naples - Rome
Fuel up with some breakfast then hit the road and head for the Eternal City! Arrive at your hotel near Rome and settle in. Along the way, you might want to check out Frascati or Ostia Antica!
In the afternoon, visit breathtaking Vatican City. Stand in awe of St. Peter's Basilica and see world-famous works of art in the Vatican museums! If you have time (and bravery), climb the steps up to the top of St. Peter's for an unforgettable view.

Day 6. Rome
Explore the splendors of Rome today. There are a ton of sites to check out including the Colosseum, the Roman Forum. and the Pantheon. You'll also be able to stop by the iconic Trevi Fountain to throw a coin in and make a wish!
Day 7. Depart Italy
After relaxing on the Amalfi Coast and exploring Rome, you will return your rental car and depart Italy.
