Day 1. Welcome to Boulder!
Touch down in Denver and pick up your automatic rental car at the Denver Airport. Get behind the wheel for the first time this trip for the ride to Boulder.
This should take about an hour, so once you've checked into your hotel, you'll have time to wander the neighborhood a bit.
Check-in - Hyatt Place Boulder/Pearl Street
This comfortable, modern style hotel is found right in the heart of Boulder, within two miles of the 29th Street Mall and Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art. Offering an indoor pool, restaurant, 24-hour snack bar, and 24-hour gym, this hotel offers everything a guest needs for a comfortable stay.

Day 2. Boulder
Spend a day in town getting to know the area. Known as "America's Foodiest Town," Boulder has something to please every palate. After some good eats, head for the center of historic downtown. Pearl Street is lined with shops, restaurants, and fun things to do. You might even catch a street performer or two.Â
Be sure to head outdoors for some fresh air and to stretch your legs before it's time to hop back into your car tomorrow for your next adventure.Â
Day 3. Boulder - Colorado Springs
Crank up the tunes and hit the road for Colorado Springs. This drive will take about 2 hours. If you time it right, you can sneak a few extra sightseeing stops in between check-out in Boulder and check-in in Colorado Springs!Â
Hyatt Place Colorado Springs / Garden of the Gods is in the heart of a region with year-round activities. The family and pet-friendly hotel is near Garden of the Gods Park, the Broadmoor Seven Falls, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, the U.S. Air Force Academy and other area destinations. Relax in your spacious, comfortable room, complete with a lounging area outfitted with a Cozy Corner with sleeper sofa. Day 4. Colorado Springs
Colorado Springs is renowned for its majesty. Today, you might take on the Manitou Incline, visit the zoo, or even treat yourself to a meal on wheels aboard the Royal George Route Railroad.Â
Day 6. Colorado Springs - Denver
It's already time to say "goodbye" to Colorado Springs and "hello" to Denver! The drive is usually less than 90 minutes so you have plenty of flexibility today. Check out the city's downtown area and maybe even visit a microbrewery or two.Â
The DoubleTree by Hilton Denver- Stapleton North property is located off Interstate 70, only 13 miles from the Denver International Airport, making it the perfect base for self-drive vacations. This property features an on-site bar and grill, swimming pool and fitness center. Rooms are large and comfortable, equipped with all modern amenities.Â
Day 6. Denver
Want to get wild today? Head to the Denver Zoo to make some new furry friends, or visit the Downtown Aquarium to view exciting aquatic life. You can also stroll around the gorgeous Denver Botanic Gardens, or book a Denver Foothills Tour to visit the iconic Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre.

Day 7. Denver
Hit the motherlode today by digging into Denver's Gold Rush history! Take a journey back to the summer of 1858, when gold was discovered at the base of the Rocky Mountains. Explore the places gold-rushers brought to life like Confluence Park, Larimer Square, and Cherry Creek Trail. Don't forget to make a stop at the Colorado State Capitol Building to see its 24 kt. gold dome!Â
Day 8. Depart Colorado
It's time to pack up, drop off the rental car and head home. Be sure to leave time to check out the Denver airport's art displays that give a cheeky nod to a few of their most famous conspiracies!
